Lately it seems that farm-to-table style dining has become all the rage. And, we’re glad. See, Trek Travel is headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin–home to the nation’s largest weekly farmer’s market. We truly understand the desire to re-connect with the land where food is grown and to get to know the farmers that cultivate it.
So, what could possibly be better than a farm-to-table dinner? A wine-paired farm-to-table meal prepared by renowned chefs on a vineyard in sunny California on a perfect autumn evening! Did I mention that it is part of our California Wine Country Luxury cycling tour? That’s right: you and your traveling companions can savor each bite and sip of vino without an ounce of guilt.
We began offering our farm-to-table experience as a special feature for our 10th Anniversary season in 2012. Because we received such overwhelmingly positive feedback from our guests, we decided to bring it back this fall! We set an intimate table among the vines or in the garden at Quivira Estate (just outside of Healdsburg) and we invite our friends from Relish Culinary Adventures to curate a menu from the bio dynamically grown produce on site. Then, the experts at Quivira hand-select from their award-winning wines to complement each course and our guests settle in to celebrate a love of local food, fine wine and excellent cycling together on the final evening of the trip.
