What’s Included In The Price?

Almost everything! We cover everything you need, as well as the things you didn’t realize you’d want. From guides who will WOW you to the incredible selection of Trek Bikes, to all those little things that turns your vacation into a vacation of a lifetime.

Two or More First Class Guides*:

Each of our trips has a minimum of two First Class Guides. If our group sizes get above 20 persons or if the trip is logistically demanding, such as Tour de France biking trips, you will have additional guides to ensure that you always enjoy superior customer service. The service, knowledge, passion, fun and flexible attitude, as well as the local connections that our guides have make each and every trip your vacation of a lifetime.
*Ride Camps and trips with 2 or less guests may have one guide.

The Use of a Trek Bike and Gear:

When it comes to bikes, we set the standard. Included in the price of your trip is the choice to ride one of our unprecedented premium quality Trek Bicycles. We have one of the largest selections of bike styles, frame sizes and equipment to ensure that your bike is perfectly fitted to you. We also carry a variety of saddles and helmets for your use, and will equip you with your own Trek Travel water bottles for you to keep. We also just added the new Garmin Touring Plus GPS device to all our trips except Mynamar and Costa Rica.

Trip Accommodations:

Each and every night you’ll retreat to the best hotels in the region. Luxury trips enjoy 4-star intimate settings, explorer trips frequent 3-star hotels, and our cross country trips stay in the best accommodations possible.

Most Meals:

All breakfasts and most lunches and dinners are included in the price of your trip. On each trip guests are given the opportunity to dine on their own so that they can discover a location independently. Of course, your guides will provide you with a list of their favorite restaurants to try.

Social Hour:

On the first evening of your trip, and most evenings thereafter we host a social hour to give everyone a chance to get better acquainted.

Snacks and Drinks for Each Day’s Ride:

We have a buffet of treats on our snack (aka ‘feast’) table including (but not limited to) recovery beverages and bars provided by our sponsor Cliff Bar & NUUN Hyrdration (North America) and local products in Europe, healthy local specialties (as well as some not so healthy but oh so good items), refreshing beverages, and of course peanut M & Ms. If you have any special requests, don’t hesitate to let us know.

Private tours, tastings, entrance fees and all that kind of stuff:

We don’t want you to miss anything; it’s all a part of being exposed to the region after all. All of the cultural events that are mentioned in your itinerary are covered in the cost of your trip. Your shopping spree down the Champs Élysée is not—sorry.

We support you both on and off the bike. We always have one guide in our support vehicle and the other cycling along side you. They’ll fill up your water bottles, change your tire, call for a shuttle or shuttle you up the hill, provide you with local insight and make sure everyone is on the right track. Off the bike, your guides are at your service to help you with anything you need—massage appointments, wine suggestions, or to find that special local treat you’re craving.

The Details:

We take the time necessary to investigate and research a region so that all the hiccups are smoothed out. All you have to do is enjoy the hidden cultural gems, smooth and scenic routes, mouth-watering meals, as well as memorable local personalities we’ve come to befriend.

Transportation During the Trip:

Our trips often take place off-the beaten track. So on our luxury trips we provide transportation both at the beginning and at the end of your trip from our quaint region to our centrally located meeting place. On our explorer trips, we establish a convenient meeting place. While on your vacation, we get you from A to B.

Luggage Transfers:

We will ensure that your bags are safely delivered to your hotel room. On our luxury trips porterage service is also included.

Guest Packet:

We want you to be able to visualize your trip before even leaving home. Once you’ve booked your trip we send you a detailed PDF, trip-specific Guest Packet. This document is a window to your holiday, filled with full-scale colored photographs, a complete description of our day-to-day activities and our accommodations. We also include the answers to many of your questions—even those questions you haven’t even had a chance to ponder. What to pack? How to train?

Trek Travel Merchandise:

Everyone likes to get a little special something in the mail, so we send you a Trek Travel Gift along with your Guest Packet. What is it? Hmmm that is a surprise but let’s just say you’ll be sporting quality! It’s just our way to say thank you for traveling with us.

We’ve covered the monetary thank-yous deserving of our drivers, local experts, and hospitality staff.

Trip Consultants:

Our knowledgeable Trip Consultants dedicate their time to learn about you and your individual needs. They answer all of your questions and aid you in choosing a vacation that suits you.

Email One Week Prior to Your Trip:

To put any of your last-minute concerns at ease, we send you an email one week prior to your trip that includes the names and phone numbers of your guides. We also remind you of our meeting location, list any final changes and give you other details such as the most current weather conditions. Nothing is left to chance.

Photos and more:

While it may be the end of one vacation, Trek Travel makes certain that your lifetime memories live on. At the end of each trip, guests are provided with a collection of photos that allow them to relive their experience. We also send you follow up correspondence to keep you in the loop of the happenings of Trek Travel, our new trips and other important information. And after participating in one trip you become a member of our loyalty program, Club TT.

Please refer to “F.A.Q” section of the particular trip you are interested for all the specifics.

Single Supplement:

We aim to personalize your vacation every step of the way, for solo travelers who prefer a room to themselves, we offer a Single Supplement (price varies by destination) to ensure you are comfortable in your own room throughout your trip.

Upgrade Bikes:

To go the extra mile, we also offer an option to Trek’s Ride+ Electric Assist Bike. It’s what you’ve always wanted, a bike with a motor. If you prefer to pedal like a pro, upgrade to the brand new, race-ready Trek Émonda SLR.

You can also upgrade your wheels to the Bontrager Aeolus 3 D3 Clincher and experience the ultimate ride.
