Your Trek Travel guides will meet you at the Hôtel Royal Saint-Honoré (221 rue Saint-Honoré) at 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM on the first day of the trip. Arrive in Paris at your leisure today, and if you arrive before 12:00 PM, please feel free to leave your luggage at the hotel to take full advantage of the shopping and activities that lie a few short steps outside your hotel’s front door along the world’s most famous avenue, the Champs-Elysées. This afternoon, equipped with a hop-on, hop-off bus pass and museum pass, today is an excellent day to venture out to Versailles or maybe visit some of the amazing museums and galleries in the city before meeting your Grand Finale companions this evening to enjoy a welcome cocktail and catch the conclusion of today’s race action on TV. Later, led by your Trek Travel guide, you and your newfound friends will stroll the wide avenues near the hotel to a charming brasserie for a delicious welcome dinner in true Parisian style!

Travel Services

How to get there

We suggest that you arrive at least one day prior to the trip start, which will enable you to adjust to the time zone and minimize the risk of missing the trip start due to flight-related delays. We recommend that you fly into Paris (CDG). Once at the airport in Paris you have the choice of a taxi, local train or bus shuttle into the city center. Visit for more information on shuttles. Prices range from 16-25 euros and take between 45 minutes and 1 hour depending on pick-up and drop-off points.

If you will be late for the pick-up or are going to miss it altogether, please inform your guides. You will receive an email a week before the trip start with their names and contact details. Hôtel Lancaster is a boutique hotel which dates to 1889, situated just 100 yards from the Champs-Elysées, offering fantastic access to many of the cities sights as well as a classic elegant atmosphere and its own Michelin star restaurant.
