As a result of COVID-19 (the coronavirus), we understand you have questions and concerns about your upcoming travel. I want to personally update you about traveling with us and the steps we are taking to ensure you have the trip of a lifetime – whether you’re traveling in a few weeks or a few months.

As the situation continues to rapidly evolve around the globe, we realize that plans made today may need to be adjusted tomorrow. Please note that we reserve the right to make changes to our policies to maintain a fluid response to unpredictable circumstances. Any updates will be communicated promptly via our website and email. FOR TRIPS TO EUROPE through April 12:

Due to the COVID-19 status in Europe, Trek Travel has made the decision to cancel all European trips through April 12.

1. If you are traveling to Europe before April 12 you have three options:

(a) Cancel your trip and receive a full refund

(b) Switch to another date or destination with no fees

(c) Keep your balance on file for any future trip with no expiration

FOR TRIPS TO NORTH AMERICA through April 12:

Trek Travel has made the decision to cancel all North American trips through April 12.

1. If you are traveling to or within North America before April 12 you have three options:

(a) Cancel your trip and receive a full refund

(b) Switch to another date or destination with no fees

(c) Keep your balance on file for any future trip with no expiration

ALL OTHER 2020 TRIPS:

For all 2020 trips and future 2020 bookings, we have modified our cancellation policy to provide our guests with ultimate flexibility up until 48 hours before a trip starts.

1. 48 hours to 60 days prior to trip departure date you have two options:

(a) Switch another date or destination for your trip with no fees

(b) Keep your balance on file for any future trip with no expiration

2. 60 days or more prior to trip departure you have three options:

(a) Cancel your trip and receive a full refund

(b) Switch to another date or destination with no fees

(c) Keep your balance on file for any future trip with no expiration

3. If you choose to cancel your trip within 60 days (other than a European or North American trip, see above), our 2020 cancellation refund policy is as follows:

FOR TRIPS THAT TREK TRAVEL MUST CANCEL

As always, our trips are guaranteed to run if permitted – if you’re going, we’re going. However, we must adhere to government travel restrictions and local authority guidelines.

1. In the event Trek Travel must cancel a trip you have three options:

(a) Cancel your trip and receive a full refund

(b) Switch to another date or destination with no fees

(c) Keep your balance on file for any future trip with no expiration

We are monitoring all trips on a rolling 30-day basis prior to trip start date (or sooner if necessary) and making adjustments. This is an evolving situation and we are dedicated to making sure all Trek Travel guests have options when considering traveling with us. All guests that choose to cancel or have trips that get canceled can keep their deposit on file for a seamless and fast booking for their next trip. All guests with credit on file will receive first access to the upcoming release of 2021 trip dates.

It’s our mission to provide exceptional hospitality and to show people the world by bike, and that’s what we’ll continue to do. Our commitment to providing you the trip of a lifetime remains the same. We are doing whatever we can to further ensure your safety on our trip by following guidelines recommended by health officials.

We are closely monitoring the situation through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). We are also in daily communication with our team members and partners around the globe. We will continue to update you as the situation evolves.
