Frequently Asked Questions

We know you’re excited about heading to Europe (we are too!). After running hundreds of successful trips in North America in 2020 and 2021, we’ve received glowing feedback from our guests and learned a lot about traveling during COVID-19. Let us answer some of your questions to make it easy to plan for your European dream trip.

How do I know the restrictions in my trip destination?

We will send guests country-specific COVID-19 information 30 days before departure, outlining all policies and travel details. This includes information on testing, entry and exit requirements, itinerary updates, additional paperwork or documentation required, etc.

What happens if Europe reinstates a lockdown before my trip?

The safety of our guests and staff is our highest priority, and we will work with you on alternate travel plans if we are unable to run a scheduled trip in Europe. Rest assured, if we need to cancel one of our trips, 100% of your payment can be transferred to another trip.

What’s it like on the ground in Europe? Will my experience still be great?

We are only going to run trips in regions where we can provide the experience of a lifetime, complete with the delectable meals, premier accommodations, and unforgettable experiences our trips are known for. We are consistently in contact with guides and partners in Europe to ensure that stores, restaurants, and other cultural centers are open in the regions we run trips.

What are the vaccination requirements for guests and guides?

Trek Travel will require all guests to be fully vaccinated before the start of the trip. It will be necessary to carry proof of vaccination for all 2022 departures*. (*Some exceptions apply. Please contact our team to learn more.) We encourage those who are eligible to get a booster dose. At this time we are not requiring it for travel with us but are closely monitoring what the CDC considers “fully vaccinated.” 100% of our guides are vaccinated.

How am I going to get a COVID-19 test before flying home?

Your guides will arrange a time and place to get a test (if required) during the final days of your trip. Please note the associated cost of the test is not included in your trip price. If you are continuing your travels in Europe after your Trek Travel trip, you will be responsible for finding your own testing location.
