Riding bikes, travel, reading, learning, discovering beauty in unexpected (or expected) places, and of course my family. Did I already say...RIDING BIKES?

That’s a tough one. I live in San Francisco, so I have plenty of beauty to explore right across the Golden Gate Bridge. I’d have to say my favorite is – the Alpine Dam loop - up and over Mt. Tamalpais on a clear sunny day. I call it ‘going to church’.
My first real road/race bike was a 1986 Trek 760. It was race green with lavender graphics and it had Superbe Pro parts and Dia Compe brakes. When I was 16, I sold my baseball card collection to buy that bike. I was so proud of it and I loved it more than my first car. I love both my road and my gravel bike, but the road is still my favorite.
