I definitely liked the format of the trip with a hub and spoke week of riding, basically ride, eat, sleep...ok, a couple beers between eat and sleep. Definitely enjoyed this style of active vacation.

I wanted to pack in a lot of challenging riding, and that's exactly what I did. The bikes are excellent. Love the disc brakes and electronic shifting. The routes were well planned and we got to see a lot of the area. Loved being able to easily walk to dinner each night. Days didn't start too early, and I liked that. Also, the bakery where you ordered lunch each day is phenomenal. Every sandwich/salad I had was delicious.

2 cyclists riding their bikes in Texas

This was the second time I participated in the Fredericksburg ride camp and I enjoyed it at least as much as I did the first time. My wife did not ride but found plenty to do in Fredericksburg and enjoyed the meals with the ride group and our guides. Also, the other riders at the camp--all of whom, I think, other than me, were there for the full week--were friendly, welcoming, interesting and came from diverse backgrounds. This too contributed to the overall camp experience. I was able to keep up with almost everyone and enjoyed riding with the group.
