FAQs

Trip Changes

Our itineraries are an approximation of our trips. Trek Travel strives to offer each and every guest a vacation of a lifetime on every trip. At times routes, hotels, activities, etc. listed here may change at the discretion of the trip designer or guides to improve the trip experience.

Our accommodations for River Cruise bike tours are unlike any Trek Travel has ever visited, and now you can take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Welcome aboard the custom-designed Scenic Cruise Ship, our luxury floating hotel. It’s a newly-appointed cruise ship that features spacious balcony rooms, WiFi access, and a walking track along the sun deck. There are a variety of inviting common spaces so you’ll have plenty of room for both relaxing and socializing with other guests, and all evening meals are prepared by the ship’s classically trained chefs and are served on board in several dining rooms.

What should you expect?: This trip is designed to be flexible and luxurious. If you prefer to take a day off from riding, you’re always welcome to shift gears and relax on the ship, or explore on your own or check in with your guides regarding one of the many Scenic guided shore excursions. We’ve limited our group size to 20 guests, but just like any hotel, we’ll be sharing the ship with other guests.

Daily Itinerary: Our daily itinerary is based on scheduled sailing and port arrival times so some days have more opportunities for exploring or cycling on land while other days have more sailing. Ride distances are flexible and we can provide more mileage for those seeking additional ride time if the ship’s schedule allows. Because rivers can be unpredictable with water level shifts, temperatures and bridge passing times, we coordinate with Scenic’s captain and staff to keep us having a great time while understanding changes may happen with our planned itinerary.

This is more than just expected all-inclusive luxury and exquisite dining.
