Additional Arrival Information
We suggest that you arrive at least one day before the start of your Vancouver self-guided bike tour, which will enable you to adjust to the time zone and minimize the risk of missing the trip start due to flight-related delays. We recommend that you fly into Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
From the airport, the Canada Line SkyTrain offers a convenient and efficient connection, whisking you from the airport to downtown Vancouver in about 25 minutes for an approximate cost of $10 CAD. Disembark at the City Centre Station, and you'll find yourself within walking distance of The St. Regis Hotel.
For those seeking a more private and direct transfer, taxis and rideshare services are readily available outside the airport terminals. The journey typically takes around 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions, and may cost approximately $30 to $40 CAD.
If you prefer the ease of a pre-arranged ride, consider booking an airport shuttle or private car service. These options ensure a seamless transition from the airport to the comfort of The St. Regis Hotel, allowing you to relax and enjoy the cityscape. Prices for airport shuttle services can range from $15 to $25 CAD, while private car services might range from $40 to $60 CAD.
Your Trek Travel host will meet you at the St. Regis hotel at 11:00 AM on the first day of your Vancouver Self-Guided bike tour to go over details of the week ahead. Depending on number of guests booked for your departure date, it is possible we will ask you to shift your meeting time by approximately 30 minutes. Please have your riding gear readily accessible to avoid having to unpack your luggage. After a trip overview, you may change into your cycling gear where you will then be fitted to your Trek bike ensuring you will be comfortable for the week. After a safety talk and reviewing the details of the route, saddle up to begin the day's ride.
If you will be arriving late or are going to miss Day 1 altogether, please inform your Trek Travel host. You will receive an email a week before the trip starts with his or her name and contact details. If you cannot reach them, please call our first hotel, The St. Regis (1-604-681-1135), and leave a message with your expected arrival time and contact details.
Additional Departure Information
Your Trek Travel host will meet you at 11:00 AM at the St. Regis Hotel to collect your bike and equipment. From here you may choose to extend your stay in the area or secure a taxi back to the Airport.
