Additional Arrival Information
We suggest that you arrive at least one day prior to the trip start, which will enable you to adjust to the time zone and minimize the risk of missing the trip start due to flight-related delays. We recommend that you fly into Cork Airport (ORK) or Dublin Airport (DUB), and then take a train to Killarney. The train from Cork takes approximately one and a half hours, and from Dublin it takes approximately three and a half hours. Train schedules can be found at www.irishrail.ie. A taxi from Cork Airport to the first night’s hotel in Killarney would cost approximately 150€.
Your Trek Travel guides will meet you at the Killarney Train Station (East Ave, Killarney, Co. Kerry, Ireland) at 11:30 AM on the first day of the trip. Your guides will arrive wearing Trek Travel gear so you can easily identify them. You’ll then shuttle approximately 20 minutes to the trip start. Please pack your bike gear in a separate bag, as you may not be able to check into your room before your bike ride and will not have easy access to your luggage while your guides ensure it is delivered to the hotel.
If you will be late for the pick-up or are going to miss it altogether, please inform your guides. If you cannot reach them, please call our first hotel, Cahernane House Hotel (+353 64 663 1895), and leave a message with your expected arrival time and contact details. A taxi to the first night’s hotel in Killarney will cost approximately 150€.
Additional Departure Information
You will say farewell to your guides at 11:00 AM at Sheen Falls Lodge. You'll then board a one-hour private shuttle to the Killarney Train Station, arriving in time for afternoon departures to other cities. Please do not book train tickets for departure prior to 12:30 PM. If you’re flying out of Cork Airport on this day, please do not schedule a flight prior to 4:00 PM. If you're planning to fly out of Dublin, we recommend booking a flight for the following day.

Your Trek Travel guides will meet you at Killarney Train Station at 11:30 AM on the first day of the trip. After a 20-minute shuttle, you’ll arrive at our stunning 4-star hotel, where you'll enjoy a group lunch. You'll then have some time to explore the grounds of the hotel before your Trek Travel guides familiarize you with your Trek bicycle, ensuring that you and your bike are the perfect fit. Your warm-up ride will take you through the surrounding countryside of Killarney National Park, providing a small taste of the delights that are in store for the week, and concludes back at your hotel. Overview
This morning you'll explore the famous Ring of Kerry, along the most beautiful parts of the Iveragh Peninsula. We'll shuttle approximately 45 minutes to the ideal starting point in order to make the most of the day's spectacular scenery; or, if you're feeling up for it, you can choose to ride straight from the hotel! Today’s ride will take you along the northern coast of the peninsula, to a medieval stone fort with impressive views of the surrounding countryside. You’ll stop in the fishing village of Cahersiveen for a relaxing lunch of your choice, whether it's pub-style or at a cozy cafe. After lunch the ride back takes you through the Glencar Valley, a popular forested birding site in the shadow of the Macglillycuddy Reeks, Ireland’s tallest mountain range before arriving in Killorglin, our final stop. Avid riders can cycle back to the hotel, or else take a short 30min transfer with the group. At day’s end, you'll retire to your stately country hotel and enjoy a pre-dinner stroll through the grounds or a pint in the cellar bar.

Cycle the famous Gap of Dunloe along the Ring of Kerry
Overview
You head south this morning, following the winding road that leads to the Gap of Dunloe, the most famous and picturesque pass in the Ring of Kerry. Be sure to capture the panorama of Macgillycuddy's Reeks before enjoying a well-earned descent, passing the Killarney National Park on your left. Master one final climb up through the Black Valley and up Moll's Gap before a rolling descent into Kenmare. Avid riders can choose to loop out and around to the coast and over Blackwater Bridge. On arrival at your country estate hotel, enjoy a well-deserved lunch.
The afternoon is yours. Wander the lively streets of Kenmare, settle into one of its welcoming pubs for a drink or two, and perhaps trade a few pints of Guinness for some local stories. Your guides can provide recommendations for excellent dining in this delightful town.

This morning’s ride will take you through the vast countryside along the Beara Peninsula. You’ll follow winding roads alongside weathered stone walls, past quiet bays and stellar views of the dramatic coastline. Climb the Healy Pass where the high country will lead you to rocky peaks and gorgeous lakes, offering spectacular views of the Bantry Bay. For a shorter ride, follow the rolling country roads back to Kenmare for a delightful bistro lunch. Meanwhile, Today's ride option continues on to Castletownbere where you will pause for a lunch of your choosing: options are sure to include some of the freshest seafood you've ever tasted. Shuttle back from there, or continue on the coastal route all the way back to Kenmare. On returning to the hotel, freshen up for a relaxing evening and a satisfying meal at our hotel.

Ride through the Caha Pass to the subtropical paradise of Garnish Island
Overview
Your morning begins with a ride from your hotel through the jaw-dropping views of the Bonane Valley where you pedal up the twisting, turning roads to Caha Pass. Watch out for sheep blocking the road as you make your way to the picturesque village of Glengarriff. Setting off from the village, you will enjoy a Trek Travel style picnic and boat tour and around Bantry Bay where sea life and wildlife is in abundance. The boat will dock on Garnish Island, a lush, subtropical paradise renowned for its exquisitely landscaped gardens and rare plant species, where you will have some time to explore. After the boat tour, the group will shuttle back to the hotel, with an optional stop at Lorge Chocolatier to sample handmade chocolates. Avid riders have the option to ride back to the hotel. The rest of the afternoon is yours to relax and enjoy the hotel’s beautiful grounds. This evening, the group will dine in one of Kenmare’s best restaurants, and raise a glass to toast an incredible week of riding before enjoying a last celebratory meal together.
