From here, scheduled flights arrive from and depart to most major cities in the U.S. You can also fly into Los Angeles (LAX) but please be aware you will have to rent a car or look into shuttle options to Solvang. From LA, it takes approximately three hours to Solvang with traffic. Options to get to Solvang include local car rental, taxi, or you can use a local rideshare app one-way for around $120. Cars can generally be found inexpensively from the Santa Barbara Airport with multiple rental agencies available. Taxi from Santa Barbara's airport cost around $120 from SBA. Options include Shah's Transfers (805-708-1403) for $150.
Your Trek Travel guides will meet you at Hotel Corque (400 Alisal Road, Solvang, California 93464) at 11:00 AM on the first day of the trip. Upon meeting your guides and getting checked into the hotel, we will ensure you have a great fit to your Trek bike for the week and give you a few pointers before you head off on a self-guided warm-up ride.
If you will be late for the meeting time, or are going to miss it altogether, please inform your guides. If you cannot reach them, please call our first hotel, Hotel Corque (800-624-5572), and leave a message with your expected arrival time and contact details.

Choose from one of our self-guided rides such as the Tour of California ITT Course
Overview
Your final ride in Solvang offers one last chance to push your limits or spin out your legs before departure. Ride the 2009 Amgen Tour of California time-trial course, a fast and punchy 15-mile (24 km) route where professional Levi Leipheimer dominated three years in a row. If you're up for a bit more climbing, extend the ride with a scenic ascent up Alisal Road, winding through the historic Nojoqui Rancho and the rolling countryside of Alisal Ranch. The dense sycamores and quiet roads provide a peaceful backdrop, and the route includes just enough of a climb to cool down a big week of training.
