Additional Arrival Information
We suggest that you arrive at least one day prior to the trip start, which will enable you to adjust to the time zone and minimize the risk of missing the trip start due to flight-related delays. We recommend that you fly into Barcelona (BCN) and then take a train to Girona. Outside Terminal 2, trains depart for Barcelona Sants, and from outside Terminal 1, buses depart every 30 minutes for Barcelona Sants (6:00 AM-11:45 PM). Alternatively, taxis are plentiful and operate 24 hours a day. The journey to the train station in the city center will take 20-30 minutes and cost around 35€. From Barcelona Sants and Estació de França, trains depart hourly for Girona. For more information, consult www.renfe.com, Spain's national railway company.
The Girona Train Station and Hotel Nord 1901 are approximately a 15-minute walk through the center of Girona, though taxis are also available for the short ride.
Your guides will meet you at Hotel Nord 1901 (+34 972 41 15 22). Upon meeting your guides and getting checked into the hotel, come to the bike room ready to ride, and we will ensure you have a great fit for your Trek bike for the week and give you a few pointers before you head off on a self-guided warm-up ride.
If you will be late for the meeting time or are going to miss it altogether, please inform your guides. If you cannot reach them, please call our hotel, Hotel Nord 1901 (+34 972 41 15 22), and leave a message with your expected arrival time and contact details. Please have your first-day cycling clothes and riding gear easily accessible, separate from your luggage.
Additional Departure Information
You will say farewell to your guides at 11:00 AM at Hotel Nord 1901. Please be sure to secure transportation to your departure airport prior to the last day of the trip.
The use of your Trek Travel bike ends at 11:00 AM on the day of departure, and in some cases, may be needed for another guest arriving that day. Extensions may be available upon request but cannot be guaranteed before your trip begins.

Overview
Welcome to Girona, the historical gem of northern Catalonia and a cycling mecca, favored among pro riders drawn to its exceptional training terrain and vibrant culture. Your guides will meet you at Hotel Nord 1901 at 11:00 AM, where you’ll be expertly fitted to your Trek Domane bike with Di2 shifting. A light lunch will be provided in the bike room upon arrival and during the group bike fitting session. Shake off your travels with a self-guided warm-up ride— Les Serres is a perfect choice to ease into the week, or opt for another local favorite. Prefer to settle in? Els Àngels and Santa Pellaia—a Girona classic
Overview
We’ll kick things off with one of Girona’s most iconic climbs: Els Àngels. This six-mile (10 km) ascent will wake up the legs early as it It winds through pine forest and finishes at a historic chapel. It's followed by a sweeping descent through rolling countryside and peaceful Catalan villages. Next up is Santa Pellaia—a local favorite affectionately nicknamed “Hincapie” in honor of former pro racer George Hincapie. After the climb, we’ll descend into Cassà de la Selva for a quick, well-earned lunch before rolling back to town. Dinner is on your own this evening, and your guides will be happy to share their top recommendations.

Today, set out together as a group for a ride straight out of the hotel, with plenty of route options to suit your training goals. Pedal toward the tranquil Lake of Banyoles, where the avid option splits off for a true Girona classic—Rocacorba. This steep, punchy climb is a well-kept secret and a training go-to for pros looking to push their limits, stretching nearly nine miles (14 km) at an average 6.5% grade. The ascent is relentless, but the panoramic Pyrenean views at the top make every effort worthwhile. After a strong ride, roll back into town to recover and refuel. Then it’s time to turn back toward Girona, rolling in with a full week’s worth of miles in your legs. Tonight, we’ll dine as a group, toasting to the effort, the adventure, and the fitness gained. Perfecto!
