Additional Arrival Information
We suggest that you arrive at least one day prior to the trip start, which will enable you to adjust to the time zone and minimize the risk of missing the trip start due to flight-related delays. We recommend that you fly into Munich International Airport (MUN). A taxi from the airport to Munich City Centre will cost around 70€ (or approximately $80 USD).
Please note: At the end of your trip, a private shuttle will take you to either FüssenStation (Germany) or Innsbruck Station (Austria).
Your Trek Travel guides will meet you in front of the München Hauptbahnhof Station (Bavaria Street 10a, 80335 Munich) at 10:00 AM on the first day of the trip. Please have your cycling clothes and riding gear easily accessible, separate from your luggage. After lunch, your guides will do a bike fit before you begin your day’s ride to Lake Tegnersee.
If you will be late for the pick-up or are going to miss it altogether, please inform your guides. If you cannot reach them, please call our first hotel, Caro & Selig (+49 8022 98200), and leave a message with your expected arrival time and contact details. A taxi from the Munich train station to the ride start or first hotel will take about one hour and cost around 150€.
Additional Departure Information
You will say farewell to your guides at 11:00 AM at Hotel Das König Ludwig. For those seeking an easy connection back to Munich, a private shuttle will take you to Füssen train station, arriving around 11:30 AM. Please ensure your departing trains are scheduled for 12:30 PM or later. Alternatively, for those continuing to Innsbruck, Austria, a shuttle will take you to Innsbruck Central Train Station, arriving around 2:00 PM. Please schedule departing trains for 3:00 PM or later.

Welcome to your cycling adventure in southern Germany! Your guides will meet you at Munich Hauptbahnhof station at 10:00 AM. After a short shuttle from Munich, we'll kick off the trip with a picnic-style lunch at a local Bavarian bistro. Then, you’ll be fitted to your bike - your trusted companion for the week ahead - and given some tips about riding in the region. Our first ride takes you through the serene countryside, past idyllic farms and grazing cows, before arriving at Lake Tegernsee, where we’ll settle in for the next two nights. This evening, enjoy a social hour and dinner - a great opportunity to connect with your fellow riders and toast to the exciting days ahead. Prost!
