Overview
Welcome to Mallorca! Your Trek Travel guides will meet you at Anssia Gastrobeach Club Palma at 11:30 AM. Mallorca’s appeal has long been tied to beaches and sun, but today reveals how much more the island has to offer. You’ll spin through local vineyards in the foothills before climbing up and along a winding, cliff-topped road with stunning views of the wild coast. Pause to explore the old town of Andratx, where narrow, winding streets and a quieter pace offer a glimpse of “real” Mallorca far from the usual tourist bustle. A spectacular lunch follows at Sa Illeta, a restaurant set on a tiny rock island in the sapphire-blue Mediterranean. This afternoon, choose to take on more climbing into the Tramuntana foothills or shuttle back to Castell Son Claret to relax by the pool or unwind in the world-class spa. Climb the Coll de Sóller before a private tour and wine tasting at Bodega Ribas
Overview
It’s classic Mallorcan majesty today, with striking views as you climb over the green-hued Col de Sóller, one of the island’s most storied rides. Wide switchbacks guide you past the terraced valleys of the Tramuntana before you crest the Col d’Honor and roll into the quiet town of Orient. Pause at our favorite café for a traditional cortado and a moment to take in the surroundings. Your ride continues to Bodega Ribas, a family-run winery founded in 1711, where you’ll tour the historic cellars and learn about Mallorcan wines while sampling Iberian Serrano ham, Manchego cheese, and other regional specialties. This afternoon, ride back to the hotel or relax in the van as it returns you to the sophisticated Port de Sóller to enjoy the beach or browse its many artisanal boutiques. This evening we’ll shuttle to Barretes Restaurant for a spectacular dining experience in an unforgettable setting with stunning panoramic views. Their cuisine offers a discovery of the uniqueness of Balearic gastronomy, while products are prepared with the utmost respect for the diversity that mother nature provides.
