Additional Arrival Information
We suggest that you arrive at least one day prior to the trip start, which will enable you to adjust to the time zone and minimize the risk of missing the trip start due to flight-related delays. We recommend that you fly into Barcelona (BCN) and then take a train to Girona. Outside Terminal 2, trains depart for Barcelona Sants, and from outside Terminal 1, buses depart every 30 minutes for Barcelona Sants (6:00 AM-11:45 PM). Alternatively, taxis are plentiful and operate 24 hours a day. The journey to the train station in the city center will take 20-30 minutes and cost around 35 euros. From Barcelona Sants and Estació de França, trains depart hourly for Girona. For more information, consult www.renfe.com, Spain's national railway company.
From the Girona Train Station, Hotel Nord 1901 is approximately a 15 minute walk through the center of Girona, or taxis are also available for the short ride.
Your guides will meet you at Hotel Nord 1901 (+34 972 41 15 22). Upon meeting your guides and getting checked into the hotel, come to the bike room ready to ride, and we will ensure you have a great fit to your new bike for the week and give you a few pointers before you head off on a self-guided warm-up ride.
If you will be late for the meeting time or are going to miss it altogether, please inform your guides. If you cannot reach them, please call our hotel, Hotel Nord 1901 (+34 972 41 15 22), and leave a message with your expected arrival time and contact details. Please have your first-day cycling clothes and riding gear easily accessible, separate from your luggage.

Today, you’ll meet your guides and group, be expertly fitted to your Trek Domane bike with Di2 electronic shifting, and warm up with a short, self-guided ride to shake off your travels. Les Serres is a great route to start, or you can choose from other classic options. Prefer to settle in? Check into your hotel room and join us later for dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants, where you’ll meet the group and share stories over a delicious meal.

Els Angels and Santa Pellaia - a Girona Classic
Overview
We’ll kick things off with one of Girona’s most iconic climbs: Els Àngels. This six-mile (10 km) ascent will wake up the legs early as it It winds through pine forest and finishes at a historic chapel. It's followed by a sweeping descent through rolling countryside and peaceful Catalan villages. Next up is Santa Pellaia—a local favorite affectionately nicknamed “Hincapie” in honor of former pro racer George Hincapie. After the climb, we’ll descend into Cassà de la Selva for a quick, well-earned lunch before rolling back to town. Dinner is on your own this evening, and your guides will be happy to share their top recommendations.

Rocacorba Loop: Girona to Banyoles and Rocacorba
Overview
Today, set out on a picturesque adventure right from your home base, with plenty of route options to choose from. We'll start together, and ride from the hotel to the tranquil Lake of Banyoles, where the avid option splits off for a special treat, climbing the Rocacorba, a secret training climb used by pros to test their fitness. Treat yourself to sweeping views of the majestic Pyrenees under a banner of blue sky as you ride this relatively short but punchy ascent, just shy of nine miles (14 km) with an average grade of 6.5%. Then it's back to your hotel for some relaxation before dinner together. This itinerary reflects the first four days of the 7-day ride camp, and this will be your last evening together. It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your trip so far and say farewell to these new friends.

Sadly, it’s time to say goodbye to Girona. Hopefully your legs are well worn from the great rides you have done but if not, feel free to choose from one of our many self-guided ride options to cap off your trip. We can recommend a perfect final spin such as the Lake Banyoles Loop which takes you a different way out of Girona, around the lake with some rolling terrain and picture perfect scenery to finish off the week. Then, you'll say your goodbyes and depart Girona with the souvenirs that matters most: fun and fitness!
