A trip for every traveler.

Sure, Trek Travel believes the world should be discovered on the saddle of a bicycle. But that doesn’t mean non-cyclists can’t join in the fun. We’re built for people of all categories, including mixed riding levels, non-riding travelers, or one non-riding partner who has no interest in two wheels at all. Just because you don’t ride doesn’t mean you can’t eat, drink, savor, sight-see, discover, tour, explore or just relax to your heart’s content.

Look for the “Non-Riders Welcome” designation on individual trip pages.

Non-Riders Welcome

Non-riding travelers will have plenty of options on these trips with dining, recreation and cultural activities located nearby our very centrally located accommodations. Just look for those trips designated with “Non-Riders Welcome” to get started.

Trips suitable for non-riders.

Cycling Focused

Riding is the central experience on these trips. Alternative options for dining, recreation and cultural activities within walking distance of our hotel are limited so we do not recommend these trips for non-riders. Please contact us for details.

Destinations true to riding.

We recommend speaking with one of our trip consultants
to learn more about the non-rider details of each trip.

The fine print.

On all of our Trek Travel trips, the guides assist guests to customize options for non-riding activities by providing restaurant and activity suggestions and assisting with transportation needs (not all transportation is included).

Non-riding guests should plan on some time spent independent from the group during daily rides, however, and will be given general timing information regarding the riders’ schedule and the possibility of joining the group whenever feasible logistically.

On all transfer days between hotels, non-riders must either ride in the support van while the guides support the day’s ride, or they may take a taxi to the next hotel. In some instances guides may request that a non-rider take a taxi (at Trek Travel’s expense) to the next hotel in order to facilitate better support of the day’s ride.

Please note—Although Trek Travel guides will work with non-riders to make their trip as enjoyable and their experience as inclusive as possible, the guides’ focus must be on supporting the daily rides. Both guides and the Trek Travel support van are committed to ride support throughout the trip. For this reason we encourage you to carefully consider your choice to book as a non-rider, and to research your non-riding options ahead of time as many require advance reservations (spa appointments, golf tee times, horseback riding, etc) and advance notice for transportation arrangements. Certain conditions vary on Ride Camp bike tours, please contact us for details.
