Additional Arrival Information
We suggest that you arrive at least one day prior to the start of the Andalucia bike tour, which will enable you to adjust to the time zone and minimize the risk of missing the trip start due to flight-related delays.
To reach Granada, the largest international airport is Málaga (AGP), which offers multiple flights, including connections from New York (EWR) and Montreal (YUL) as well as several daily connections with major European airports. If you have time, we recommend saving one day to enjoy Malaga city center and at least a day and a half to discover Granada and its amazing treasures. We suggest using public transportation to get to Granada, with the bus being a faster option than the train.
From Málaga bus station, you can catch a bus to Granada bus station, which takes approximately 90 to 110 minutes and costs around 15€ for a one-way ticket. Alternatively, there are direct buses from Málaga airport to Granada bus station, taking around 2 hours 30 minutes, and costing between 14€ for a one-way ticket.
The most direct and comfortable way to reach Granada is by taking a taxi from Málaga airport. Head to the taxi rank and negotiate the price with the driver. You can expect to pay around 150€.
Another option is to fly directly to Granada’s airport (GRX) from Madrid (MAD), Barcelona (BCN), Paris (ORY) or London Gatwick (LGW) although connections here are more limited. From the airport, take a taxi or the public bus outside the arrivals level and transfer to the center of Granada.
Your Trek Travel guides will meet you at the hotel Hospes Palacio de los Patos, (Calle Solarillo de Gracia, 1, 18002 Granada, Spain) at 10:00 AM. You'll then shuttle one and a half hours to Alfarnatejo where your guides will do personal bike fittings then start your day’s ride. Lunch will be towards the end of the ride and close to your first hotel. Please ensure you have a hearty breakfast as Spanish lunchtimes are traditionally later than in the US (2:00-3:00 PM). Please arrive dressed in your first-day cycling clothes and bring along everything you will need for the ride (shoes, glasses, saddle, pedals, etc.) easily accessible, separate from your main luggage.
If you will be late for the pick-up or are going to miss it altogether, please inform your guides. If you cannot reach them, please call our first hotel, La Bobadilla (+34 958 32 18 61) and leave a message with your expected arrival time and contact details. A taxi from Granada to your ride start or first hotel will take about one and a half hours and will cost around 200 Euros.
Additional Departure Information
You will say farewell to your guides at 11:00 AM at the Hotel Catalonia Reina Victoria. You'll shuttle one and a half hours to the Sevilla Santa Justa Station, arriving at approximately 12:30 PM. Please allow adequate connection time for any ongoing travel to accommodate possible traffic delays.
We recommend that you fly out of Sevilla (SVQ). There are also train connections from Sevilla Santa Justa to Madrid Atocha station if you wish to fly from Madrid (MAD), instead.
Welcome to sun-drenched Andalucia

Wine tasting and gourmet tapas on the white villages route
Overview
We’ll begin our eventful day with a one-and-a-half-hour private shuttle to LA Organic on the outskirts of Ronda. Here, you'll explore Andalucia's significant role in the olive oil industry with an exclusive tour and tasting at a farm renowned for its olive oil and spectacular views of the Sierra de Grazalema. The ride starts from this picturesque location, sweeping through landscapes toward Setenil de las Bodegas, a town famous for its homes built into rock overhangs along a narrow gorge by the Trejo river. Take a coffee break before meandering through country roads to Café Polear for an incredible lunch. Later, we shuttle to Ronda, one of Spain’s oldest towns, where you’ll enjoy a private walking tour in the evening. Our engaging local guide will lead you to the Puente Nuevo – the "new" bridge – offering stunning views over the El Tajo gorge, and then through the old city. Historically significant in Islam as a center of mosques and palaces, Ronda’s cobbled streets now host handsome town mansions, some still home to titled families.
