Additional Arrival Information
We suggest that you arrive at least one day prior to the trip start, which will enable you to adjust to the time zone and minimize the risk of missing the trip start due to flight-related delays. We recommend that you fly into the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). From there, a 20-minute taxi or Uber ride will take you to Scottsdale Old Town.
Our meeting location is in Scottsdale Old Town, so please enjoy a night or two in this beautiful tourist hotspot. We have listed several hotel options in our recommendations, but be aware that the pick-up will be at the Canopy by Hilton Scottsdale Old Town. You are also welcome to book your pre-night at CIVANA Wellness Resort and Spa, where you can meet the group at the CIVANA lobby at 11:00 AM. If you choose this option you will need to book an Uber or Lift to take you on the 45-minute trip to get to the hotel. Please inform your guides if you will not be at the pick-up in Scottsdale.
Your Trek Travel guides will meet you with the Trek Travel van in front of Canopy by Hilton Scottsdale Old Town (7142 E 1st St, Scottsdale, AZ 85251) at 10:00 AM on the first day of the trip. You will then shuttle for 45-minutes to CIVANA Wellness Resort and Spa.
Your guides will give you a brief orientation and safety talk during lunch, then you'll saddle up to begin the day's ride through the Sonoran McDowell Preserve.
If you will be late for the pick-up or are going to miss it altogether, please inform your guides. You will receive an email a week before the trip start with their names and contact details. If you cannot reach them, please call our first hotel, CIVANA Resort and Spa (480-653-9000) and leave a message with your expected arrival time and contact details.

You will say farewell to Civana at 11:00 AM and your Trek Travel guides will shuttle you to the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). If you have other plans, please ensure to book transportation for your next adventure.

Overview
Welcome to the Valley of the Sun, where there is the promise of 300 days of sunshine annually! You're about to experience some of Arizona's finest cycling culture with smooth pavement and endless great weather. Your guide team will meet you in front of Canopy by Hilton Scottsdale Old Town at 10:00 AM on the first day of the trip. We'll kick off the week with an 18-mile loop that will begin with a nourishing lunch, followed by a ride safety talk and personal bike fitting to your Trek bike to ensure a comfortable week ahead. After our first spin of the week, you'll check-in to your hotel room and explore this incredible resort, filled end-to-end with desert culture and spa luxury. Tonight, join the group for social hour and dinner at Terras to discuss the exciting week ahead.

Marvel at towering saguaro cacti while we pedal by Fountain Hills
Overview
Wake up to your first morning in this incredible, once-in-a-lifetime destination. After a vibrant and delicious breakfast and a 30-minute shuttle, we’ll head towards the town of Fountain Hills on today's route. As we set out, you'll notice the white plume of a world-famous fountain visible just beyond Fountain Hills. This wonder can be seen from as far away as the Superstition Mountains, Carefree, and even from aircraft. We’ll spin through vistas of McDowell Mountain Regional Park and Tonto National Forest and enjoy a Trek Travel picnic lunch at Fountain Hills Park. Stop for a few photos to show your friends back home what they're missing. After the picnic, you have your choice of a beautiful hike or returning to CIVANA to relax and enjoy the amenities. Our hike is meant to take you into the heart of desert scenery, where you'll see the flora and fauna that make this region a gem among the Arizona landscapes and is particularly picturesque with Piestawa Peak and Camelback Mountain off in the distance. Tonight you will have Carefree to explore for a dinner of your choosing.

Cool off from your ride with a dip in Bartlett Lake
Overview
Make sure you get a hearty breakfast today so you're ready and fueled for our most exciting and beautiful day yet. It's another perfectly sunny weather report, and we will use the great weather as a chance to make our way to Bartlett Lake on a challenging cruise of about 40 miles with 4,750 feet of elevation gain. There is always the option to jump in the shuttle if you choose, but don't skip the chance to cool off with a dip in the lake. We'll stop for lunch at a hidden gem on our way back from Bartlett Lake. Tonight, we'll meet for our last night as a group; we will reflect on our accomplishments and memorable moments with all our newfound friends while we enjoy a drinks and dinner at Tonto Bar and Grill! Time to say cheers to a wonderful trip.
