Ride to the quaint villages of Saint-Christophe-en-Oisans and La Bérarde
Overview
Trek Travel will coordinate a mid-morning shuttle from Geneva based on arrival times, taking you on a scenic three-hour drive into France through alpine valleys to Les Deux Alpes, where Chalet Mounier will be your home for the week. After a light lunch and a personalized bike fitting, a gondola carries you down to Venosc to begin a warm-up ride into the untouched Bérarde Valley. The road leads steadily toward the small shepherd’s hamlet of La Bérarde, tucked beneath the Massif des Écrins at the edge of Écrins National Park, with high peaks rising on all sides. At the turnaround point, pause to soak in the mountain setting before riding back down the valley. The cable car returns you to our chic mountain lodge with time to settle in, visit the spa, or relax. A local guide will join you this evening for welcome drinks at the hotel, offering insights into the region’s history and stories, followed by a delicious dinner.

Experience the ultimate balcony roads over Col du Solude and opposite the legendary Alpe d'Huez
Overview
The day focuses on a trio of lesser-known alpine balcony roads—quiet stretches our guides count among their favorites. From Les Deux Alpes, start with a balcony descent before climbing toward Villard-Notre-Dame and the narrow road to Col du Solude, where the route clings to the mountainside above the valley. A relaxed lunch at a family-run bistro offers time to take in the spectacular setting before continuing down toward Le Bourg-d’Oisans and the base of Alpe d’Huez. From here, choose how to finish the ride: cruise back to Venosc and return to Les Deux Alpes by gondola, or climb the opening switchbacks of Alpe d’Huez and follow a small, rock-cut road that leads steadily back toward town. The evening brings dinner at an alpine restaurant, offering a gourmet take on locally sourced mountain dishes in a warm chalet-style setting.

Climb the famous Col du Glandon with a gravel twist
Overview
The day centers on one of the Alps’ most storied climbs. Roll out of Les Deux Alpes with a gradual descent across the surrounding valleys before turning toward Col du Glandon—a Tour de France fixture ridden 16 times, most recently in 2025 and set to return in 2026. The climb rises steadily into higher alpine terrain, with shifting views as you gain elevation. Conditions permitting, a few playful gravel sections add variety to the ascent, with final details confirmed by your guides at the start of the week. At the summit, stop for photos and mark the moment before beginning the return toward Les Deux Alpes. Along the way, enjoy a classic crêpe lunch before the final miles back to town. This evening, gather for a Savoyard dinner highlighting regional dishes and plenty of local cheeses.

Switch gears and take in the magnificence of the Alps from quiet gravel roads
Overview
Gravel takes center stage today as you head out on a loop that shows off a quieter side of the Alps. Roll out of Les Deux Alpes with a steady descent before reaching Mizoën, where the route shifts onto gravel and climbs through open alpine meadows. The surface and conditions are assessed in advance, with your guides confirming the final plan to ensure the best riding. As you gain elevation, the terrain opens up to wide mountain panoramas before the route tips downhill for a rewarding descent back toward the valley. A relaxed lunch stop along the way offers time to refuel and take in the alpine backdrop before the final miles return you to the hotel. The evening brings a casual group dinner at a favorite Italian restaurant in Les Deux Alpes, setting you up nicely for tomorrow’s legendary ride.

Ride the three sides of Alpe d’Huez
Overview
This is a marquee day built around an extraordinary challenge: riding the three sides of Alpe d’Huez in a single day. After breakfast, descend into the valley to begin with the Col de Sarenne, a quieter ascent that sets the tone before the challenge ahead. From there, drop down via a short gravel section and a balcony road before taking on the classic climb of Alpe d’Huez. The road rises through its 21 named switchbacks, each tied to a Tour de France stage winner, spurring you toward the summit. After lunch, descend again—this time on a gravel route toward Oz—before returning to Alpe d’Huez from the western approach for your final ascent of the day. At the top, stop for photos before the exhilarating descent and a gondola ride from Venosc back to the hotel. The evening wraps up with celebratory drinks overlooking the mountains, followed by a Savoyard dinner at the hotel shared with your fellow champions.
