Travelers Rest
Overview
Today, you have the option to explore the lesser-known sights of Greenville either independently or with your fellow riders. Take a leisurely tour on the scenic Travelers Rest Loop, or ask our guides for their personal favorite self-guided routes. Only nine miles (14 km) north of Greenville, in the heart of Upstate South Carolina, lies the charming and historic town of Travelers Rest. Since before its establishment in 1893, this town has been a sanctuary for travelers, serving as a stopover for settlers and herders alike, offering a much-needed respite from their journey. As some guests arrive and others depart, we will provide you with cue sheets and guidance to help you find your own secluded spot of heaven. This evening you'll meet the rest of the group over dinner.

Hagood Mill
Overview
We will set out for an enjoyable ride on the western outskirts of Greenville. You'll appreciate the quiet and relaxed atmosphere as we take in the picturesque and overgrown greenery. We'll take a break at Hagood Mill, where you can enjoy a meal while learning about the history of this 1826 water-powered gristmill. The mill has existed on the site since the 1790s, but the current building was built by James Hagood in 1845 and remained in the Hagood family, operating until 1966. Historically it served as a hub for local community gatherings. Later in the evening, you'll have the chance to discover Greenville's diverse food scene on your own. Your guides will be available to give recommendations for their personal favorite restaurants among the over 120 independent eateries located within the 10 city blocks of downtown Greenville.
