Welcome to the breathtaking Loire Valley! Your guides will meet you at the Hotel Fleur de Loire lobby at 11:00 AM. You'll take a short shuttle to our lunch spot amidst stunning countryside. Along the way, you can already catch a glimpse of what this region is all about: stunning castles and their prized Sauvignon Blanc vineyards. After a lovely lunch and a short round of introductions, your guides will discuss the rules of bike safety and specific cycling tips for riding in the Loire before ensuring a comfortable fit for your Trek bicycle. Then it's time for your royal bike tour to begin! You'll cycle along peaceful roads amidst bucolic fields to go back to the enchanting town of Blois, which will be our home for the next three nights. The town is renowned for its impressive Château de Blois, which served as a residence for several French kings and queens during the Renaissance period. The unique blend of Gothic, Renaissance, and Classical architecture will surely leave you in awe. Our hotel, Fleur de Loire, is owned by the celebrated chef Christophe Hay and dinner tonight is hosted in his bistronomic restaurant, where every dish is crafted from locally sourced ingredients and vegetables from its own garden.

Then, you'll bike to our featured destination: the magnificent Château de Chambord. Built in 1519 by François Premier, it's a true wonder of the world with an intricate design and Leonardo da Vinci's double helix staircase. Uncover its secrets and wonders during our private guided tour, unraveling centuries-old mysteries found within its walls. After a delicious lunch, we'll return to the charming town of Blois, where you can explore its quaint streets and stunning architecture. In the evening, we'll gather as a group for dinner at one of Blois finest restaurants, indulging in the epitome of French cuisine.

Fuel up with breakfast and begin your scenic bike ride along the Loire à vélo (Loire Valley by bike), following the banks of the Loire River. Marvel at the stunning scenery and rich biodiversity as we make our way to charming Amboise. In addition to its renowned castle, Amboise also draws visitors from all over the world because it is the final resting place of Leonardo da Vinci, the great Italian Renaissance artist and inventor. He spent his last years here and completed iconic works like the Mona Lisa. Discover the intriguing troglodyte cellars at our favorite vineyard, where you'll have the chance to sample exquisite regional wines and delve into the area's wine production history in these centuries-old storage caves. Afterwards, enjoy some time exploring town and savor a relaxed lunch before shuttling back. For those who wish more time in the saddle, you'll have the option to return to the hotel by bike. Dinner is on your own tonight. Choose to treat yourself to the famous gastronomic restaurant of Christophe Hay at the hotel, or consider the guides' top recommendations in town.

Leaving Blois behind, you'll venture into the countryside, where enchanting views of rolling hills and villages await. Upon reaching Chenonceau, the beauty of this chateau will immediately captivate you. Spanning the Cher River with its unique architectural bridge-like design, Chenonceau is known as the "ladies' castle." It stands as a testament to the strength and resilience of women throughout history, shaped and preserved by powerful female figures across the centuries. Beyond its architectural and historical significance, Chenonceau played a crucial role in World War II, serving as a strategic crossing point into the free zone. The Menier family, the castle's owners at the time, courageously aided people fleeing Nazi tyranny, smuggling them to safety across the river. Then, armed with suggestions from your guides, discover the perfect bistro for lunch before we make our way to our second hotel, Domaine de la Tortinière. This 17th-century castle, nestled in lush gardens, will be our home for the next few days. Take time to unwind and soak up the ambiance, perhaps with a refreshing swim in the pool, before we gather for a delectable meal at the hotel's restaurant.

Our first stop will be at the picturesque town of Azay-le-Rideau, where you can take a quick break and admire the stunning castle. This 16th-century chateau is a true masterpiece of the French Renaissance architecture. You'll then visit the endearing town of Villandry, famous for its stunning gardens. You can spend your time strolling through the terraced gardens, admiring the ornamental and vegetable gardens, and getting lost in the labyrinth. The gardens, which were inspired by the Renaissance, are arranged around a water theme, with fountains and water features adding to the serene atmosphere. After exploring the town and gardens, take your time to find your perfect lunch spot. There are plenty of charming cafes and restaurants in the area to suit every taste. Then, make your way back to the hotel to get ready for our last meal together. We have reserved a table at L'Evidence, a Michelin-starred restaurant located in the heart of the delightful village of Montbazon. Get ready to indulge in some of the most exquisite French cuisine you have ever tasted!

As our journey draws to a close, savor a final morning ride through the serene Loire Valley countryside or choose to sleep in and enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. You will bid farewell to your guides at the hotel at 11:00 AM and board a quick shuttle to Saint-Pierre-des-Corps train station where you can take a train to Paris or other destinations.
