We suggest that you arrive at least one or two days prior to the start of your New Zealand South Island Bike Tour, which will enable you to adjust to the time zone and minimize the risk of missing the trip start due to flight-related delays. We recommend that you fly into Christchurch (CHC/NZCH). From the airport, there are taxis located outside International Arrivals (exit through Door 7). The journey to city center will take 15-20 minutes and cost around $50-$60 USD.
Your Trek Travel guides will meet you at Novotel, Christchurch Cathedral Square (52 Cathedral Square, Christchurch Central City, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand) at 8:00 AM on the first day of the trip. After a three-and-a-half-hour private shuttle through the breathtaking landscapes of New Zealand's South Island, you'll arrive at Lake Tekapo where you'll enjoy a picnic lunch before getting fit to your Trek bike. After some It's recommended that you bring a set of cycling clothes in your carry-on in case of lost luggage. Please have your riding gear in a separate bag or readily accessible, to avoid having to unpack your luggage.
It is very important that you meet your guides at the meeting point in Christchurch. The first hotel is a four-hour drive away, costing approximately $400 USD. If you will be late for the meeting time, or are going to miss it altogether, please inform your guides. If you cannot reach them, please call our first hotel, The Hermitage (+64 3 435 1809), and leave a message with your expected arrival time and contact details.

Your group's shuttle will depart from the hotel at 11:30 AM, arriving at Queenstown Airport around 12:00 PM noon. Don't book a flight before 3:00 PM in case of delays.

Pause for a gourmet picnic lunch at Mount Cook Station, a high-country sheep farm offering an authentic glimpse into pastoral life. Enjoy a private 4X4 tour of the station before resuming your ride along the lake’s edge, finishing at a stunning viewpoint.
