Conquer the mighty Mont Ventoux one day ahead of the pros!
Overview

This 13.4-mile ascent has no flat sections and features an average grade of 10% over a relentless 6.2-mile stretch, leading into the famous "moonscape." What makes Ventoux truly challenging isn't just its steep grades, but the unpredictable weather—intense winds or heat can make this climb feel much tougher than others. We’ll set out early to give you the best chance for a memorable ascent. After reaching the summit and capturing the moment with a photo, we’ll descend to Malaucène for a well-earned bistro lunch. Feeling strong? Tackle Ventoux again from the opposite side for a double ascent, or enjoy a relaxing spin back to the hotel. Overview
After fuelling up with breakfast, you’ll descend to the base of the mythic Alpe d’Huez, the most revered and famous mountaintop finish in France. Alpe d’Huez was first included in the Tour in 1952, and it's often one of the most exciting points in the race. After ascending to the summit of the historic pass, snap some photos then fuel up over lunch while you celebrate your accomplishment and savor the astounding views. If you’re eager for more, continue up and over the mountain to attack Col de Sarenne. This quiet road is popular with locals as an understated, less traveled, and equally difficult challenge. After an exhilarating descent into the valley, choose to ride back to La Grave directly or opt for a shuttle back to the hotel. If we arrive in time, relax with an artisan beer and watch the exciting sprint finish of Stage 18 into Barcelonette as the race enters the final Alpes-Maritimes stages before the grand finale in Nice in just a few days.
