Andalucia embodies quintessential Spain: limestone peaks, white villages, and roads that offer an unparalleled cycling experience—where every turn brings breathtaking views. It's a land of exquisite tapas, rich olive oils, classic wines, and warm hospitality, all set to the rhythm of passionate music. This is the cradle of Spanish romance, where the fervor of flamenco and a rich history merge to craft unforgettable moments. Picasso's homeland and Hemingway's muse, Andalucia will captivate you as you explore storied towns like Ronda and other hidden gems on our cycling tour, where exceptional rides are just the beginning of the magic.
Explore the timeless charm of one of Spain’s oldest towns on a private walking tour of Ronda
Enjoy an authentic and captivating flamenco performance in Ronda, the very heart of the flamenco region
Discover regional history on a private tour and tasting at an organic olive oil farm, and learn how Andalucia became the world’s largest olive oil producer
Ride through the dramatic limestone formations and unspoiled forests of the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park
Savor an Anis tasting in a breathtaking Patio Cordobés, awarded as the region’s most beautiful, followed by a traditional Andalusian lunch
The "New Bridge" in Ronda, completed in 1793
Walking Tour of Ronda
Puente Nuevo is Ronda’s iconic 18th-century bridge, the newest of three that spans the Guadalevín River. Our engaging walking tour guide unveils fascinating insights about this architectural marvel and more.
An amazing experience!!
We had such a great trip with Carlos and Jorge riding and experiencing the beauty and "hills" of Andalucia. Guides can make or break a bike trip, and they made it fun and easy. This was our first Trek Travel adventure, but definitely not our last.
T&B, Oregon
Our ride through Andalusia was simply wonderful. The roads were great and the surroundings spectacular. Olive trees, limestone mountains, poppy fields. And the white hill towns that look like snow masses from far away. The biking was challenging but doable with the great Trek bikes and gearing. The hotels were a great place to chill at the end of the day and the nice inserts of local culture—olive oil tour, Ronda tour and flamenco show were just right.

Perfect blend of world class riding, scenery, and cuisine! My guides Carlos and Jorge made this trip everything I had hoped it would be. Their knowledge of the area and ways they embedded that within the daily activities, be it cycling, dining, or strolling around town, added to this trip in a way that can't be replicated. Thank you Trek Travel and team for making my 40th birthday extra special! I'm looking forward to my next trip with Trek Travel in 2023.

This was my first experience with Trek Travel and I am completely satisfied. I had high expectations going in and this experience met all of those expectations and more. The hotels were beautiful and top notch. The food was great and the social activities were well done. Spain was beautiful, accommodating and we were treated very well. The rides were challenging without being a grind. And the guides were very nice and helpful. In short, it's an experience that I will treasure for a lifetime and I would definitely do it again.

Additional Arrival Information
We suggest that you arrive at least one day prior to the start of the Andalucia bike tour, which will enable you to adjust to the time zone and minimize the risk of missing the trip start due to flight-related delays. Be sure to spend some time enjoying Madrid and Malaga city centers.
We recommend you choose one of the following two travel options:
Direct to Málaga-Costa del Sol International Airport (AGP)
Multiple international connections are available, including flights from New York (EWR) and Montreal (YUL). A taxi to the city center from Malaga Airport AGP takes around 15 minutes and costs approximately 25-35€—simply provide the driver with your hotel address.
Via Madrid Adolfo Suarez Airport (MAD)
MAD offers numerous direct flights from the U.S. (New York, Washington, Los Angeles, etc.) and Canada (Montreal, Toronto). From Madrid Airport, take the airport bus or a taxi (15-25 minutes) to AVE Atocha Station, then a high-speed train (AVE) to Málaga (2 hours 45 minutes). One-way train tickets can be purchased in advance from Renfe's website and cost up to 110€ depending on availability. Check current rates and schedules at www.renfe.com.
Your Trek Travel guides will meet you at the NH Hotel Málaga, (C. San Jacinto, 2, Distrito Centro, 29007 Málaga) at 10:00 AM. From there, you'll shuttle one hour to Alfarnatejo, where your guides will fit you to your Trek bike to ensure your comfort for the week. Please arrive dressed in your cycling clothes with your gear (shoes, glasses, pedals, etc.) separate and easily accessible from your main luggage. Then, after a brief orientation and safety talk, we'll begin the day's ride.
Please note: Lunch is later in the day and after the ride, so we suggest having a hearty breakfast since Spanish lunch times are typically between 2:00-3:00 PM.
If you will be late for the pick-up or are going to miss it altogether, please inform your guides. If you cannot reach them, please call our first hotel, La Bobadilla (+34 958 32 18 61) and leave a message with your expected arrival time and contact details. A taxi from Malaga to your ride start or first hotel will take about one hour and will cost approximately 160€.
Additional Departure Information
On your final day, you will say farewell to your guides at 11:00 AM at the Hotel Catalonia Reina Victoria in Ronda. A private shuttle will take you to Seville Airport (SVQ) in one hour and 30 minutes, with a second stop at Seville Santa Justa Train Station, arriving at approximately 12:50 PM. Please allow extra time for possible traffic delays.
For international flights, we recommend departing from Madrid-Barajas International Airport (MAD). You have two options to reach Madrid:
Fly from Seville (SVQ) to Madrid (MAD). There are several daily flights available.
Alternatively, you can take the high-speed AVE train from Seville Santa Justa to Madrid Atocha Train Station. You can purchase one-way tickets in advance via Renfe’s website www.renfe.com. The train ride is approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes, with ticket prices ranging up to 100€, depending on availability and travel times.
Once you arrive at Madrid Atocha Train Station, the quickest way to get to Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) is by taxi. The journey takes 15-25 minutes, with a fixed rate of 33€. Alternatively, you can take a direct bus to the airport.
Welcome to sun-drenched Andalucia
