Activity Level: Level 3
Terrain: Hilly to Mountainous (with Mont Ventoux climb)
The terrain is highlighted by stunning views, mostly quiet roads, and some challenging climbs. Day 2 features a challenging ascent of Mont Ventoux—over 13 miles (21 km) of steep, sustained climbing with sections averaging 10%—followed by a technical descent that requires strong bike-handling skills. Please note that some roads may be narrow and have more traffic than usual as we'll be visiting the region during an international event. Mont Ventoux will be particularly busy at this time.
Tour de France Femmes is best suited for our Level 3 Riders. Our Trek Travel guides can also easily accommodate Level 2 Riders, who seek less mileage or fewer uphills, with a boost in the van. For those eager to experience every mile but mindful of their physical limits, our electric bike option offers a comfortable and enjoyable solution. Level 4 Riders will enjoy the extra mileage the avid route options offer.
