Activity Level: Level 3
Terrain: Hilly
The terrain is varied with rolling plains and hilly coastline. Climbs are generally short but can be steep in places. Our Tour de France Grand Depart bike tour is best suited for our Level 3 Riders. Our Trek Travel guides can also easily accommodate Level 2 Riders, who seek less mileage or fewer uphills, with a boost in the van. For those eager to experience every mile but mindful of their physical limits, our electric bike option offers a comfortable and enjoyable solution.
Please note: The final portion of the trip takes place in Barcelona, featuring exciting team and race events but no riding. This trip welcomes both riders and spectators alike—it’s the perfect way to experience the Tour de France up close, whether you’re in the saddle or cheering from the sidelines.
