After a 90-minute private shuttle, your race experience begins in Allemond, tucked in the heart of the French Alps. Enjoy a light lunch and thorough bike fitting on your Trek Domane, before heading out on a warm-up ride and your first taste of alpine grandeur—the Balcony Road ascent to Alpe d’Huez. This winding route hugs the mountainside high above the Oisans Valley, offering dramatic views of the snow-capped peaks and green valley below. At the top, you’ll arrive at your home for the next four nights, the Hotel Au Chamois d’Or, the perfect base for this week’s spectacular rides and live race action. Tonight, gather for a welcome social hour and dinner as you toast to the adventures ahead.

Welcome to another day of thigh-burning climbs and exhilarating descents. Begin with an ascent taking in sweeping alpine views en route to the epic Col du Glandon, first appearing in the 1947 Tour de France. The climb begins at Lac du Verney and rises 3,770 feet (1,149 m) over 15 miles (24 km). At the summit, admire the dramatic scenery of this remote pass, open only from June to October. Your Trek Travel guides will have refreshments and snacks ready for a well-deserved break. If you’re feeling strong, continue to the summit of Col de la Croix de Fer, chosen as the first climb in this year’s Stage 20. After a satisfying mountain lunch, enjoy a thrilling descent to Allemond and then choose to shuttle back to our hotel or tackle the final climb back up to Alpe d’Huez. Back at the hotel, recover and catch the sprint finish into Orcières-Merlette on TV—there’s sure to be a fierce battle for yellow. This evening, relax and enjoy another alpine feast our hotel. Set out early to stay ahead of road closures and make the most of this unforgettable day. Choose to first climb the Col de Sarenne—the final ascent of tomorrow’s final mountaintop finish on Stage 20—or descend directly to Bourg d’Oisans, the base of the mythic Alpe d’Huez, the most revered climb in France. Ride the course ahead of the peloton, tackling its 21 famed switchbacks—each named for a past Tour winner—on an 8% average grade that demands every ounce of focus. The energy is electric, with fans lining the roads for this iconic stage. Join your fellow travelers at Trek Travel’s Signature Race Access Event at Les Grandes Rousses, perfectly positioned on the final switchbacks for prime views of the live action. Today the pros tackle the legendary Cols du Télégraphe, Galibier, and Sarenne before the dramatic final summit finish on Alpe d’Huez. After lunch and time to freshen up at the hotel, prepare for an unforgettable VIP experience at today’s stage finish! Watch the peloton’s dramatic arrival from an exclusive VIP open-top bus, complete with panoramic views, an open bar, and large-screen TVs capturing every moment. This afternoon, your guides will lead you behind the security line to the prestigious Lidl Trek Tribune, where the excitement builds as the riders sweep into the heart of Paris. Reserved for the Lidl Trek Team, its sponsors, and Trek Travel guests, this private space on the Champs-Élysées offers an unforgettable vantage point for the day’s final showdown. Savor a celebratory toast and an elegant cocktail-style standing lunch on the terrace, then settle into the grandstands for breathtaking views of the peloton speeding by at over 30 miles per hour as the riders complete their final laps and race toward the finish.
