Welcome to the breathtaking Loire Valley! Your guides will meet you at the Saint-Pierre-des-Corps train station at 11:00 AM. You'll take a short shuttle to our lunch spot amidst stunning countryside. Along the way, you can already catch a glimpse of what this region is all about: stunning castles and their prized Sauvignon Blanc vineyards. After a lovely lunch and a short round of introductions, your guides will discuss the rules of bike safety and specific cycling tips for riding in the Loire before familiarizing you with your Trek bicycle and ensuring a comfortable fit. Then it's time for your royal bike tour to begin! You'll cycle along peaceful roads amidst bucolic fields to reach the enchanting town of Blois, which will be our home for the next three nights. The town is renowned for its impressive Château de Blois, which served as a residence for several French kings and queens during the Renaissance period. The unique blend of Gothic, Renaissance, and Classical architecture will surely leave you in awe. Our hotel, Fleur de Loire, is owned by the celebrated chef Christophe Hay and dinner tonight is hosted in his bistronomic restaurant, where every dish is crafted from locally sourced ingredients and vegetables from its own garden.

He spent his last years here and completed iconic works like the Mona Lisa. Discover the intriguing troglodyte cellars at our favorite vineyard, where you'll have the chance to sample exquisite regional wines and delve into the area's wine production history in these centuries-old storage caves. Afterwards, enjoy some time to explore the town and savor a relaxed lunch before shuttling back. For those who wish more time in the saddle, you'll have the option to return by bike. Leaving Blois behind, you'll venture into the countryside, where enchanting views of rolling hills and villages await. Spanning the Cher River with its unique architectural bridge-like design, Chenonceau is known as the "ladies' castle." It stands as a testament to the strength and resilience of women throughout history, shaped and preserved by powerful female figures across the centuries. Beyond its architectural and historical significance, Chenonceau played a crucial role in World War II, serving as a strategic crossing point into the free zone. The Menier family, the castle's owners at the time, courageously aided people fleeing Nazi tyranny, smuggling them to safety across the river. Then, armed with suggestions from your guides, discover the perfect bistro for lunch before we make our way to our second hotel, Domaine de la Tortinière. This 17th-century castle, nestled in lush gardens, will be our home for the next few days. Before and After Your Trip

Before: Tours, France

Tours is a city that beautifully encapsulates the essence of French charm and heritage. Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Loire Valley, Tours offers a captivating blend of history, culture, art, and culinary delights. Explore its cobbled streets lined with medieval timber-framed houses, as you journey through time and discover architectural marvels like the stunning Saint-Gatien Cathedral. Indulge in the vibrant local markets, savoring the finest French cuisine and renowned wines. As you wander, you'll encounter the captivating Musée du Compagnonnage and the impressive Plumereau Square, a hub of bustling cafes and lively atmosphere. Tours is considered the gateway to exploring the Loire valley chateaux region, so this makes for a perfect starting point before joining our trip. We recommend the following accommodations for your pre-trip hotel:

After: Paris, France

Paris is home to many of the world’s best-known monuments and museums. A backdrop of many classic photos, the Arc de Triomphe sits majestically at the top end of the Champs-Elysées. You can go to the observation deck for an expansive view down the world-famous boulevard from Napoléon’s huge triumphal arch—the largest in the world. The Arc isn’t the only site that offers a great view of the city, however. Other monuments with impressive vistas include the view from the white dome of the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur de Montmartre, or from atop the 56 floors of the Tour Montparnasse, and of course at the summit of the most renowned monument in Paris, if not the world—la Tour Eiffel. We recommend the following accommodations for your post-trip hotel:
