Additional Arrival Information
We suggest that you arrive at least one day prior to the trip start, which will enable you to adjust to the time zone and minimize the risk of missing the trip start due to flight-related delays. We recommend that you fly into San Antonio International Airport (SAT) or Austin Bergstrom International Airport (AUS).
From here, you can reserve a spot with LyftnLand Shuttle Service by calling 830-733-7345 or visiting www.lyftnland.com. The cost is $150 for one-way from both airports and will drop you off at the hotel.
Your Trek Travel staff will meet you at the Fredericksburg Inn and Suites (201 S Washington Street, Fredericksburg, TX 78624) between 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on the first day of the trip. Upon meeting your guides and getting checked into the hotel, we will ensure you have a great fit for your Trek bike for the week and give you a few pointers before you head off on a self-guided warm-up ride.
If you will be late for the meeting time or are going to miss it altogether, please inform your guides. If you cannot reach them, please call our first hotel, Fredericksburg Inn and Suites (830-997-0202) and leave a message with your expected arrival time and contact details.
Additional Departure Information
You will say farewell to your guides at 11:00 AM at the Fredericksburg Inn and Suites. Please be sure to book transportation to your departure airport prior to the end of your trip.
The use of your Trek Travel bike will also end at 11:00 AM on the day of departure, and in some cases, may be needed for another guest arriving that day. Extensions may be available upon request but cannot be guaranteed before your trip begins.

Take in all the Texan flavors as you enjoy lunch at the historic Old Tunnel State Park, while also enjoying the picturesque vistas and serenity of the area. For the more adventurous, there's also the chance to tackle the challenging "Comfort Killer," a climb and descent with astounding 20% grades. After a day of adventure, experience the delights of Fredericksburg on your own as you savor dinner at one of the town's top-rated restaurants. Soak in the culture as you wind down from an unforgettable day. You're deep in the heart of Texas, where every day is an adventure and every ride a memory.

Old Tunnel State Park
Old Tunnel State Park houses one of Texas's largest bat colonies. At dusk, Mexican free-tailed and cave myotis bats emerge to feed. Built in 1913 for the Fredericksburg and Northern Railway, the tunnel was abandoned in 1942.

Willow City
Overview
Are you ready for another unforgettable day in Texas? The Willow City Loop is a classic local treasure. Today, you'll pedal through the undulating country roads all the way to the picturesque town of Willow City. The terrain is both rugged and beautiful, speckled with Texas bluebonnets and the famous Indian Paintbrush throughout the springtime. Take a break and refuel at Harry's on the Loop, a true staple for anyone lucky enough to ride these roads. From Willow City, you can choose to head back to Fredericksburg or challenge yourself with some extra miles through the beautiful canyons and hills just north of Harry's, where you're likely to have the road all to yourself. As the sun sets, gather with your fellow riders. We’ll dine as a group and celebrate your Texas-size achievement with some Texas-sized Italian food.

Willow City
Willow City is a misnomer, as there's no actual city. This route is popular, especially in spring when Blue Bonnets bloom. The canyon, carved by a now-dry river, offers stunning views of meadows and valleys and is one of the most scenic segments we'll ride.

We've reached the halfway point of our adventure, and today is a perfect opportunity to explore on your own as some guests depart and others arrive. Whether you choose to get some bonus miles from a previous route, ride the short loop, or discover the charming side streets and wineries of Fredericksburg, the possibilities are endless. One of our top suggestions is the Luckenbach Loop, where you can spend some time with this amazing community and take in some great live tunes. Luckenbach is a true gem where "everybody is somebody." As the day comes to a close, gather with your fellow riders and make new friends as you share stories over dinner at one of Fredericksburg's favorite beer gardens.

Luckenbach, TX
Settled in the mid-1800s by German immigrants, Luckenbach peaked at 500 residents in the early 1900s but dwindled to three by the 1960s. Known for its country music ties, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson's 1970s hit "Luckenbach, Texas" put it on the map. Today, it's a popular destination for live music performances.

Challenge yourself on all the undulating climbs that stand between you and your final night at Texas Ride Camp. As the day comes to an end, continue exploring the charming town of Fredericksburg on your own as you indulge in dinner at one of the town's top-rated restaurants. Doss Welgehausen with Enchanted Rock
Overview
Our final big day in Texas hill country is crammed with adventure, so get those legs in gear as we embark on 70 miles (115 kilometers) and climbing 4,300 feet (1,300 m) of elevation. Start your day with a delicious breakfast before we head northwest towards the sleepy and historic town of Doss. Tackle the locally famous Welgehausen climb on your way to Enchanted Rock, a massive dome of pink granite. The name Enchanted Rock comes from an interpretation of Native American folklore by early Spanish and Anglo settlers. The endless rolling hills of Texas will test both your legs and your lungs, but the picturesque views and sense of accomplishment will make it all worth it. This is typical Texas, and it's totally terrific. As the sun sets, gather with your fellow riders and reflect on the accomplishments and memories of the past week over dinner together. It's truly been a wonderful week, and as you say your farewells to your newfound friends, we hope your memories of your Texas adventure stay with you forever.

Enchanted Rock State Park features the massive pink granite dome rising 425 feet. Estimated at 1 billion years old, it formed from cooled magma. The park's rich history includes prehistoric habitation and significance during the Texas Revolution, with battles taking place in the area.
