Start your Trek Travel pro race experience on the stunning French Riviera's Côte d'Azur, where the excitement is palpable as it hosts the final stages of the 2024 Tour de France. We'll meet in Nice and then take a short 30-minute shuttle to the exquisite Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, a captivating peninsula nestled between Monaco and Nice. This luxurious summer retreat for the rich and famous will be our home for the next three nights at the 5-star Royal Riviera hotel. Here, you'll receive a warm welcome and enjoy breathtaking views of the azure Mediterranean Sea. After a delicious lunch on the sun-soaked terrace, our guides will ensure you have a perfect fit on your Trek Domane bicycle. Today's warm-up ride climbs along winding roads, leading to the iconic Col d'Eze, the final climb where cycling legends will compete for the yellow jersey in Stage 21 of this year's Tour. In the evening, we'll gather for a glass of champagne to discuss the week ahead before indulging in the region's renowned Mediterranean cuisine at the hotel's poolside lounge and restaurant.

Today, you’ll enjoy the spectacular riding right outside our hotel, whether you prefer a full day in the saddle or a more relaxed experience. Your day begins with a chance to conquer the renowned Col de Braus, which will be the inaugural major ascent of Stage 20 on this year's tour. This Category 1 climb spans six miles and has an average gradient of 6.3%. As you ascend, soak in panoramic views of the Alpes-Maritimes and maybe catch glimpses of the ancient Route Royale, the historic salt road that once connected Nice to Piedmont. After reaching the summit, follow the racecourse for a thrilling descent to Sospel, where we'll regroup and have lunch at a Provencal-style bistro. In the afternoon, you can either take the van back to our hotel and relax on the private beach or continue your day of riding by conquering the Col de Castillon, looping you back to our hotel. Trek even has one of their most popular frames named after this climb, yet it’s never been featured in the Tour de France. You have two options to start your day: either ride directly from the hotel and conquer the Col de Turbie featured in Stage 21, before descending to Menthon, or hop in the van and shuttle to Menthon to begin your ride. Packing and Weather

The summer months in the south of France can bring warm days and evenings, ranging from the mid 70s to high 80s F (22-30C), with evenings in the mid 70s to mid 80s When traveling in any mountainous regions of France, it is best to be prepared for variable conditions, as weather can change very quickly, and there is always the chance of rain.
