Is there any other tour operator who evaluates itself on its ability to wow its guests? Every year, we challenge our guides to compete for the best WOW moments they create. That means every guide is equipped to surprise you and we don’t stop until you’re wowed. To us every trip is special, because to you every trip is precious.
A “wow” is what we call those amazing little extras that blow you away.
Here are some of our favorites:
“A lot of people wonder what it is I do as a guide for Trek Travel. The picture below is one of the proudest moments I’ve been a part of. This is a woman who was originally not going to ride at all on our California Wine Country trip, but she ended up reaching her distant goal of riding 100 miles. Friends from the group were there to surprise her on the roadside and cheer her on.”

“We wow’ed guests by having them ride the actual Paris Roubaix course on their last day. To put the cherry on the cake, we arranged for them to have a Roubaix Velodrome finish with a very special visit to the historic shower stalls where champions have rinsed off their victories for a hundred years. This water usually runs hot for only one day a year. In 2015, it was two.”
– Jason Harding
“Our guest Scott had requested a picnic for two on his wife Michelle’s birthday. Not only did we create a basket outfitted with everything they needed, but we scoped out a private little spot outside the walls of Montiriggioni and set up the surprise picnic. Scott gained lots of points with his new wife that day.”
– Leanne Welbourn
“We talked about the border crossing into Austria earlier in the week and were disappointed that no one would stamp our passports. Our guides disguised themselves by purchasing Austrian military uniforms and carried out a very funny border crossing interrogation. It was one of the highlights of the trip.”
