Additional Arrival Information
We suggest that you arrive at least one day prior to the start of the Andalucia bike tour, which will enable you to adjust to the time zone and minimize the risk of missing the trip start due to flight-related delays. Be sure to spend some time enjoying Madrid and Malaga city centers.
We recommend you choose one of the following two travel options:
Direct to Málaga-Costa del Sol International Airport (AGP)
Multiple international connections are available, including flights from New York (EWR) and Montreal (YUL). A taxi to the city center from Malaga Airport AGP takes around 15 minutes and costs approximately 25-35€—simply provide the driver with your hotel address.
Via Madrid Adolfo Suarez Airport (MAD)
MAD offers numerous direct flights from the U.S. (New York, Washington, Los Angeles, etc.) and Canada (Montreal, Toronto). From Madrid Airport, take the airport bus or a taxi (15-25 minutes) to AVE Atocha Station, then a high-speed train (AVE) to Málaga (2 hours 45 minutes). One-way train tickets can be purchased in advance from Renfe's website and cost up to 110€ depending on availability. Check current rates and schedules at www.renfe.com.
Your Trek Travel guides will meet you at the NH Hotel Málaga, (C. San Jacinto, 2, Distrito Centro, 29007 Málaga) at 10:00 AM. From there, you'll shuttle one hour to Alfarnatejo, where your guides will fit you to your Trek bike to ensure your comfort for the week. Please arrive dressed in your cycling clothes with your gear (shoes, glasses, pedals, etc.) separate and easily accessible from your main luggage. Then, after a brief orientation and safety talk, we'll begin the day's ride.
Please note: Lunch is later in the day and after the ride, so we suggest having a hearty breakfast since Spanish lunch times are typically between 2:00-3:00 PM.
If you will be late for the pick-up or are going to miss it altogether, please inform your guides. If you cannot reach them, please call our first hotel, Finca La Bobadilla (+34 958 32 18 61) and leave a message with your expected arrival time and contact details. A taxi from Malaga to your ride start or first hotel will take about one hour and will cost approximately 160€.
Additional Departure Information
On your final day, you will say farewell to your guides at 11:30 AM at the Hotel Catalonia Reina Victoria in Ronda. A private shuttle will take you to Seville Airport (SVQ) in one hour and 40 minutes, with a second stop at Seville Santa Justa Train Station, arriving at approximately 1:30 PM. Please allow extra time for possible traffic delays.
For international flights, we recommend departing from Madrid-Barajas International Airport (MAD). You have two options to reach Madrid:
Fly from Seville (SVQ) to Madrid (MAD). There are several daily flights available.
Alternatively, you can take the high-speed AVE train from Seville Santa Justa to Madrid Atocha Train Station. You can purchase one-way tickets in advance via Renfe’s website www.renfe.com. The train ride is approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes, with ticket prices ranging up to 100€, depending on availability and travel times.
Once you arrive at Madrid Atocha Train Station, the quickest way to get to Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) is by taxi. The journey takes 15-25 minutes, with a fixed rate of 33€. Alternatively, you can take a direct bus to the airport.
Welcome to sun-drenched Andalucia
Overview
Your Trek Travel guides will meet you at the NH Hotel Málaga, (C. San Jacinto, 2, Distrito Centro, 29007 Málaga) at 10:00 AM. You'll then take a private shuttle one hour into the countryside, to the village of Alfarnatejo, where your guides will perfectly fit you to your Trek bike for the week. After your guides share some safety tips and route highlights, you'll head out on your first ride. This afternoon, enjoy riding on quiet country roads and patchwork-like hills as far as the eye can see before lunch at a small bistro handpicked by our local guides. After lunch it’s a short spin to our hotel, La Bobadilla. This “royal hideaway” is designed like a traditional Mediterranean village with white-washed houses arranged around a lagoon-style pool. It’s the perfect place to experience the quiet and romantic heart of Andalucia. Tonight, convene for drinks on the hotel terrace as your guides give you an overview of the great week to come, before enjoying dinner at one of the hotel's acclaimed restaurants.

Olive oil tasting and gourmet tapas on the white villages route
Overview
We’ll begin our eventful day with a one-and-a-half-hour private shuttle to LA Organic on the outskirts of Ronda. Here, you'll explore Andalucia's significant role in the olive oil industry with an exclusive tour and tasting at a farm renowned for its olive oil and spectacular views of the Sierra de Grazalema. The ride starts from this picturesque location, sweeping through landscapes toward Setenil de las Bodegas, a town famous for its homes built into rock overhangs along a narrow gorge by the Trejo river. Take a coffee break before meandering through country roads to Café Polear for an incredible lunch hosted by a talented and creative chef. Later, we shuttle to Ronda, one of Spain’s oldest towns, where you’ll enjoy a private walking tour in the evening. Our engaging local guide will lead you to the Puente Nuevo – the "new" bridge – offering stunning views over the El Tajo gorge, and then through the old city. Historically significant in Islam as a center of mosques and palaces, Ronda’s cobbled streets now host handsome town mansions, some still home to titled families.
