Glacier National Park Bike Tour

Overview

Welcome to what’s often called “The Last Best Place.” Your guides will meet you at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake at 8:00 AM and begin with a two-and-a-half-hour shuttle to East Glacier, where some of Glacier National Park's most spectacular terrain comes into view. After a hearty picnic prepared by your guides, you’ll receive a personal bike fitting for a smooth and comfortable ride. The first ride is both breathtaking and challenging, taking you through the Blackfeet Indian Reservation, and over Looking Glass Hill before finishing at Saint Mary Lodge on the shores of another striking glacial lake. Tonight, after settling into your Great Bear Lodge room, we'll meet for a social hour and dinner at the Snowgoose Grille, where your guides will fill you in on what lies ahead.

Overview

This morning we will start with a quick shuttle from Saint Mary to Many Glacier Lodge, a historic hotel whose Swiss-alpine architecture is inspired by the magnificent surrounding landscape. From here we'll board a historic wooden boat for a peaceful cruise across Swiftcurrent and Josephine Lakes, surrounded by majestic rocky peaks. Upon docking, you will have the option to hike to one more of Glacier’s 762 lakes, Grinnell Lake, known for its characteristic turquoise color. If you are looking for a more challenging day, you have the option to hike all the way to Grinnell Glacier. After a simple trailside lunch, you'll hike back to enjoy Swiftcurrent Lake or some time in the historic Many Glacier Lodge. Today is all about enjoying the Many Glacier area, known as "Little Switzerland" in the park. Tonight we'll gather in St. Mary at one of our favorite dining experiences.
Please note: The hike today is self-guided as per park regulations - trails can close at the discretion of the National Park Rangers and if this happens we have alternative options

Overview

Today’s ride is one you’ll remember long after your Glacier National Park bike tour ends. We’ll tackle the legendary Going-to-the-Sun Road—an engineering marvel completed in 1932 and considered one of the most scenic roads in America. This narrow, winding route cuts through Glacier’s heart, with views of waterfalls, glaciers, cedar forests, wildflowers, and the chance to spot wildlife. Climb to Logan Pass (6,646 feet) and the Continental Divide, stopping for photos at scenic overlooks before layering up and enjoying an epic descent. While there’s no designated short option, your guides will offer strategic shuttle support as needed. After this triumphant ride, we'll have lunch at Jammer Joe's on the shores of Lake McDonald before checking into our second hotel. Tonight, we stay at the iconic Lake McDonald Lodge and dine in its historic restaurant, overlooking the park’s largest lake.

Overview

After a leisurely breakfast overlooking the sparkling waters of Lake McDonald, we'll take a short shuttle to the south end of the lake, where today's spectacular ride begins. Surrounded by Glacier National Park's towering peaks and pristine forests, we'll roll away from one of Montana's most iconic landscapes and onto scenic country roads through the charming town of Columbia Falls before cruising into Whitefish. Today's route showcases the incredible diversity of northwest Montana—from alpine vistas and glacial rivers to open farmland and mountain views—all while carrying you directly to our hotel on two wheels. After checking in, spend the afternoon exploring Whitefish's vibrant downtown, where boutique shops, art galleries, and inviting cafés await. This evening is yours to enjoy, with dinner on your own and plenty of recommendations from your expert guides for their favorite local restaurants.

Overview

Today's ride has it all—sweeping views of lush farmland of the North Valley and the majestic mountains surrounding the Flathead Valley. The morning begins with a quiet ride around Whitefish Lake. You'll turn around when the road ends. As you pedal back toward Whitefish, you can decide whether you are up for the avid option, which is a steady climb up Murdock Lane. Those who brave the climb will be rewarded with panoramic views of the peaks of Glacier National Park from the ceiling of Big Sky Country. Don't have a climb in your legs? Use the afternoon to indulge in a spa treatment, paddle on the lake or explore town instead. Lunch is on your own in one of Whitefish’s many cafes today. Tonight, we'll reconvene for dinner at our favorite local restaurant, located at the base of the ski resort, where we will toast to an incredible week surrounded by the natural beauty of Montana.

Overview

It's time to say goodbye to Big Sky Country with a tranquil spin through the outskirts of Whitefish to the town of Columbia Falls and back. You’ll say farewell to your guides at 11:00 AM at the hotel and then continue your adventures, or if you must, take the free hotel shuttle to the airport. You may be leaving Montana, but memories of your Glacier National Park bike tour are sure to stay with you for a lifetime.
