Additional Arrival Information
We suggest that you arrive at least one day prior to the start of your Valleys of the Dolomites bike tour, which will enable you to adjust to the time zone and minimize the risk of missing the trip start due to flight-related delays. We recommend that you fly into Innsbruck Airport (INN) in western Austria, the largest international airport in Tyrol.
To get from Innsbruck Airport to the main train station (Hauptbahnhof), take Bus F, which runs frequently between the airport and the train station. The bus stop is conveniently located right outside the airport's arrival hall. The trip takes about 20 minutes. From Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof (Hbf) there are direct trains to Bressanone/Brixen and the ride on a fast train takes one and a half hours. We recommend transferring to Bressanone/Brixen the night before to guarantee you arrive in time for the 11:00 AM meeting on the first day of the trip. Train schedules can be found on www.trainline.com.
Your Trek Travel guides will meet you at the Bressanone/Brixen Train Station at 11:00 AM on the first day of your Valleys of the Dolomites bike tour. You will shuttle approximately 30 minutes to your lunch spot for your first taste of delicious Tyrolean cuisine. After lunch, your guides will do a bike fitting to ensure your comfort on your Trek bike this week, before you take your first spin through the Puster valley. Please have your first day’s riding gear handy and separate from your other luggage, since your luggage will be unloaded at the hotel and you will not have access to it during lunch or bike fit.
If you will be late for the pick-up or are going to miss it altogether, please inform your guides. You will receive an email a week before the trip start with their names and contact details. If you cannot reach them, please call our hotel, Alpinhotel Keil (+39 0474 496716), and leave a message with your expected arrival time and contact details. It is possible to take a taxi from Bressanone to Valdaora for approximately 150€.
Additional Departure Information
You will say farewell to your guides at 11:00 AM at the Alpinhotel Keil. You will then board a private 50-minute shuttle to the Bressanone/Brixen Train station and arrive at approximately 12:00 PM. From here you can catch a train back to Innsbruck in Austria or to other Italian cities. From Bressanone/Brixen, for example, there are direct trains to Verona Porta Nuova. From Verona there are easy connections to Venice and Milano. For further information, please see www.trainline.com.
