Trip Guidelines & Expectations

2023: Trek Travel guests are not required to be vaccinated or have proof of vaccination prior to trip departure.

    • Symptomatic Guests: If a guest starts experiencing symptoms on trip we will ask them to take a test for Covid-19. If the test is positive, we will ask the guest to isolate from the group. If negative, we will take no further action.
    • We have always valued small group travel. Trek Travel trips average 12 guests per trip, with a maximum of 24. Small group travel allows flexibility for comfortable distance at meals, route and safety talks, and transports.
    • We will communicate your group size a week prior to your trip. We’re always just a short phone call away for any questions regarding your trip or group size.
    • We will dine with your comfort in mind. Small groups, outdoor dining, or a private table? We can make it happen. We are working with restaurants to create a comfortable, safe dining environment so you can relax and savor the local flavors.
    • Our famous Trek Travel picnics are a guest favorite. There will be slight changes to how we prepare and serve, but one thing that won’t change are the epic views while you dine!

Trek Travel is following recommended guidelines set by health officials, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as local authorities where applicable.

  • There’s a reason why the best part of every Trek Travel trip is the guides. Trek Travel guides are true professionals and prepared for any situation with safety protocols and a communication plan.
  • All Trek Travel guides are certified in First Aid, CPR, and bike mechanic training, and they are up to date on CDC sanitation guidelines to best support our guests while traveling.
  • Trek Travel guides will complete a self-health check before every trip.
  • Our guides are happy to serve guests by completing all food prep while wearing gloves.

I would take this trip 1,000 times. My husband and I took this trip as a COVID-delayed honeymoon. Our guides were so thoughtful; they organized a romantic dinner just for us. As for the cycling, there are no words. This is a once-in-a-lifetime trip with once-in-a-lifetime views. The guides were charming and funny, knowledgeable and attentive. I cannot recommend this trip more strongly. A trip we will always remember.
