Additional Arrival Information
We suggest that you arrive at least one day prior to the start of your England Hiking and Walking Tour, which will enable you to adjust to the time zone and minimize the risk of missing the trip start due to flight- or rail-related delays. We recommend that you fly into London Heathrow (LHR). From London Paddington Station (PAD), take a 2.5-hour train to Exeter St Davids Station (EXD); the fastest, most direct services are operated by Great Western Railway (GWR). Please consult www.gwr.com to book your ticket, or visit www.trainline.com to compare schedules across operators. (Please note that train schedules can change; consult GWR or Trainline for the most up-to-date information.) If you are spending the night in Exeter before the trip, you may need to taxi to the station for the 11:00 AM meeting time on the first day of your tour.
Your Trek Travel guides will meet you at Exeter St Davids Railway Station (Bonhay Rd, Exeter EX4 4NT, United Kingdom) at 11:00 AM to begin your journey into Dartmoor National Park. After a scenic 40-minute shuttle, you will enjoy lunch in Chagford as your guides introduce the week ahead.
If you will be late for the pick-up or miss it altogether, please inform your guides. If you cannot reach them, please call our first hotel, Mill End Hotel (+44 1647 432282), and leave a message with your expected arrival time and contact details. You may also take a taxi directly from Exeter to the hotel for approximately £130 ($175 USD), depending on availability.
Additional Departure Information
You will say farewell to your guides at 11:00 AM at the Padstow Harbour Hotel. After saying goodbye, you will take a private shuttle from the trip end to Bodmin Parkway Train Station (approximately 35–40 minutes). Here you can take a direct train to London or continue by rail to St Ives if you wish to extend your stay on Cornwall’s North coast. Please do not book any train before 12:30 PM.

Your day opens with a short ferry ride across the Camel Estuary to Rock, offering a fresh perspective on the coastline.
