Pedal the rugged cliffs of northern Costa Brava and step into Dal۪̉s surreal world
Overview
Today’s ride may be short in length, but it’s mighty. After breakfast, we’ll set off toward El Far, a historic lighthouse perched above the sea. Built in 1864, this whitewashed beacon once guided fishermen and traders along the rugged Costa Brava. Now, it offers one of the most iconic panoramic views of the coastline. We'll earn that view with a rewarding climb—and once at the top, we’ll pause for a well-deserved lunch with a view, right by the lighthouse. Take it all in: the cliffs, the sea, the breeze. This is what gravel riding in Catalonia is all about. From there, we’ll loop back along twisting coastal trails that test your skills and spark your sense of adventure. In the afternoon, we’ll trade pedals for a peek into the surreal: a guided tour of Salvador DalÃ’s house in Port Lligat. From the egg-topped rooftop to the artist’s quirky studio, it’s an unforgettable glimpse into the world of one of Spain’s most iconic minds.

Climb the gravel version of a Girona classic—Els Àngels
Overview
Fuel up for a memorable ride as we tackle the gravel edition of a quintessential Girona climb—Els Àngels—and see why this destination is a gravelist's favorite. This route highlights the region’s diverse terrain, from smooth pavement and hard-packed gravel to twisty, technical sections. We’ll start along the flat gravel paths that twist along the Riu Ter, then climb through shaded forest roads on a mix of dirt and pavement to the Sanctuary of Els Àngels—famously the site of DalÃ’s wedding. After a scenic lunch with panoramic views of Girona, descend a steep, winding gravel track back to town. Spend the afternoon strolling the medieval walls, visiting the Girona Cathedral, or exploring the Jewish Quarter. Then, join us for dinner at one of our favorite local bistros—good food, great stories, and even better company.

Conquer Rocacorba—the Queen Stage
Overview
Start your day with a strong coffee and a hearty breakfast before tackling the queen stage of your trip. Today’s route winds through the quiet Catalan countryside, past stone farmhouses, gentle waterways, and the town of Banyoles, where the 1992 Barcelona Olympic rowing events were held. Refuel with coffee and cake before taking on one of Girona’s most iconic climbs—Rocacorba. This winding 6-mile (10 km) ascent is a true test, but the sweeping views from the summit make every pedal stroke worthwhile. Prefer a steadier ride? Opt for the alternative route over La Mota and its punchy climbs before descending to a well-earned Catalan feast at a charming food truck in Canet d’Adri. End the day with a relaxed spin back into town, then gather tonight for a celebratory dinner to relive an unforgettable week of gravel adventures.
