Additional Arrival Information
Your Trek Travel guides will meet you at Figueres-Vilafant Train Station (Figueres-Vilafant, 17740, Girona) at 10:00 AM on the first day of the trip. It's recommended that you bring a set of cycling clothes in your carry-on in case of lost luggage. After meeting your guides, change and come to the bike room ready to ride. The hotel will safely store your luggage until your room is ready.
We suggest that you arrive at least one day prior to the trip start, which will enable you to adjust to the time zone and minimize the risk of missing the trip start due to flight-related delays.
We recommend flying into Barcelona (BCN) and taking a train to Figueres-Vilafant from Barcelona Estacio de Sants. For the most comfortable option, a taxi or ride-share from the airport directly to the train station is easy to arrange from either terminal—Cabify is the recommended app within Barcelona or you can follow signs for taxis and use a regulated city cab. The journey to the city center train station takes 20–30 minutes and costs around 35€. For public transport, local trains depart directly from the station located outside Terminal 2 for Barcelona Estació Sants and cost around €5 one-way. If you arrive at Terminal 1, take the free shuttle bus to Terminal 2. For train information, consult www.renfe.com.
If you will be late for the meeting time, or are going to miss it altogether, please inform your guides. If you cannot reach them, please call our hotel, Hotel Playa Sol (+34 972 25 81 00), and leave a message with your expected arrival time and contact details. Please have your first-day cycling clothes and riding gear easily accessible, separate from your luggage.
Additional Departure Information
You will say farewell to your guides at 11:30 AM at Hotel Nord 1901 in Girona. Please be sure to secure transportation to your departure airport prior to the last day of the trip. Please refer to the "Additional Arrival Information" section for further transportation information.
A warm welcome to the stunning Costa Brava
Overview
Your Trek Travel guides will meet you at 10:00 AM at the Figueres train station before a short transfer to the charming farmhouse La Vinyeta. There, you’ll enjoy a relaxed Catalan lunch and tour of the winery estate before your guides fit you to your Checkpoint gravel bike—making sure your ride is perfectly set up for the week ahead. Our first ride begins on quiet dirt roads toward the coast, passing through Roses and climbing to a cliffside perch with sweeping views of the Costa Brava. From there, it’s a stunning descent into the artistic seaside village of Cadaqués, where whitewashed buildings and turquoise waters create a picture-perfect welcome. Unwind, settle into your hotel, and then join us for a traditional Catalan dinner. We’ll toast to new adventures and the unforgettable week to come.

Pedal the rugged cliffs of northern Costa Brava and step into Dal۪̉s surreal world
Overview
Today's ride is intentionally short, leaving plenty of time to settle into the rhythm of Cadaqués. This morning, pedal to Cap de Creus, where rugged cliffs meet the Mediterranean at the easternmost point of mainland Spain, before returning to town. Lunch is on your own, giving you the freedom to spend the afternoon however you choose—browse the boutiques and galleries tucked into Cadaqués' whitewashed streets, linger over a long lunch by the water, or simply relax at the hotel and take in the views. For those eager for more time in the saddle, an avid route explores the demanding gravel roads that wind through the peninsula's remote landscape. Later this afternoon, we'll regroup for a private walking tour of Cadaqués followed by a visit to DalÃ's House in nearby Port Lligat. After, we will dine together at one of our favorite local bistros.

Climb the gravel version of a Girona classic—Els Àngels
Overview
Fuel up for a memorable ride as we tackle the gravel edition of a quintessential Girona climb—Els Àngels—and see why this destination is a gravelist's favorite. This route highlights the region’s diverse terrain, from smooth pavement and hard-packed gravel to twisty, technical sections. We’ll start along the flat gravel paths that twist along the Riu Ter, then climb through shaded forest roads on a mix of dirt and pavement to the Sanctuary of Els Àngels—famously the site of DalÃ’s wedding. After a scenic lunch with panoramic views of Girona, descend a steep, winding gravel track back to town. Spend the afternoon strolling the medieval walls, visiting the Girona Cathedral, or exploring the Jewish Quarter. Then, join us for dinner at one of our favorite local bistros—good food, great stories, and even better company.

Take on the gravel ridge of Rocacorba
Overview
Today, gravel roads lead you through the countryside north of Girona, linking stone farmhouses, forests, and small Catalan villages on the way to Banyoles. Pause for coffee beside the lake that hosted the rowing competitions during the 1992 Barcelona Olympics before turning toward the day's main objective, the gravel ridge of Rocacorba. From here, choose to take on the challenge of riding the gravel ridge of Rocacorba, one of the region's most rewarding routes, with forested tracks and expansive views across the surrounding landscape. Guests looking for a slightly gentler day can follow the alternate route over La Mota before rejoining the group for lunch. We'll gather in Canet d'Adri for a Catalan feast before spinning back to Girona. This evening, come together for a celebratory dinner and a chance to reflect on a week of gravel riding across Catalonia.
