We felt like we were in our second home
Review by Frank D. on 12 Mar 2024 review stating We felt like we were in our second home
Every aspect of our adventure in July 2023 was fantastic. The scenery in Kerry and Cork is spectacular. The sensational Ring of Kerry is renowned but I consider cycling the Beara Peninsula was even more breathtaking and rewarding. On the whole, we rode on quiet roads and we could take the time to enjoy everything. The accommodation was first class...Read More
, with great views. My wife Jennie didn’t ride but she felt very much a part of the trip as she was so warmly welcomed and included. We love the Irish warmth and hospitality. As a Aussie with Irish heritage I really felt like I was coming home! Most importantly, our guides Donncha and Andrew were superb. From singing Irish ballads to immersing us in history and culture to having a laugh, they really made our holiday truly memorable.
Thanks for everything! Read Less

Ireland, Can't wait to Go Back
Review by John on 3 Sep 2021 review stating Ireland, Can't wait to Go Back
Guides Donnacha (The Republic) and Andrew (Northern Ireland), were FANTASTIC. The trip itself was spectacular, one day better than the next. Irish Songs sung by our guide, talk on the history of the Republic and Northern Ireland, the history of Kenmare; made you understand how proud the people are of there country. The rides, the views, were all a...Read More

A Magical Country
Review by Kyle on 25 Apr 2020 review stating A Magical Country
There are so many highlights on this trip it would be hard to choose one. The green of Ireland just seems to be greener than any other place on earth. The people of Ireland welcome visitors like they are long lost friends. Cycling the Ring of Kerry area gives you some of the best scenery and views in Ireland- climbing the Gap of Dunloe week in and...Read More
week out was one of my favorite parts of the trips. I was always ready to resist the urge to eat too many chocolate while visiting Lorge Chocolatier Handmade Chocolate, and I usually failed at that. Overall, it's hard to describe the feeling of connectedness to the earth and to history while you are in Ireland, but it is a feeling I would suggest you never miss experiencing. Read Less

Memorable trip from start to finish!
Review by Brad L. on 19 Nov 2019 review stating Memorable trip from start to finish!
Our Ireland cycling trip (our first with Trek) was the best cycling trip we've done to date. From start to finish, Trek and our amazing guides did an outstanding job. We were blessed with amazing weather and Trek handled everything else, all at the highest level. The accommodations, the routes (mostly on tiny country roads), the food, and of cours...Read More
e, the whiskey and chocolate tastings...all were well thought out and enjoyable. One suggestion we'd make is to also consider flying into and/or out of the Shannon airport. We ended our trip with a few extra days in Galway (which I also highly recommend!) and Shannon was a convenient drive afterward. Read Less

A wonderful and beautiful country made all the better with the direction of experienced, knowing, thoughtful and gracious guides who were above all fantastic, fun companions. Then there were the great Trek bikes that made the day-to-day adventure all the more enjoyable. Thanks to one and all!
