Activity Level: Level 2, Level 3
Terrain: Hilly
The terrain is full of rolling hills, including some long, gradual grades and some short steep ones. San Juan Islands bike tour is best suited for our Level 2/3 Riders. The riding near Anacortes and on San Juan Island is the most gentle, and Orcas Island has the hilliest terrain which includes a 2,000 ft (670m) climb to the top of Mt. Constitution. Many of the roads on the islands have a "chip seal" surface, which is a type of pavement treatment that is more rough than typical asphalt. This type of surface makes the riding slower and a bit more difficult for the distance when compared to asphalt roads you may be used to. Our Trek Travel guides can also easily accommodate Level 1 Riders, who seek less mileage or fewer uphills, with a boost in the van. For those eager to experience every mile but mindful of their physical limits, our electric bike option offers a comfortable and enjoyable solution. Level 3+ Riders will enjoy the extra mileage the avid route options offer.

- Schedule a massage or spa visit
- Enjoy sight seeing and the varied terrain of the San Juan Islands on a horseback ride
