Girona Riding Camp (7 Days)
Review by Len on 15 May 2023 review stating Girona Riding Camp (7 Days)
Great bike rides around Girona. Tour guides were so helpful in any way. I would come back to Girona with TrekTravel for sure.

Great area for serious riding!
Review by Yo A. on 6 Nov 2022 review stating Great area for serious riding!
Riding routes were beautiful and aggressive w climbing but the downhills made the up worth it. Getting back into the hotel in middle of town was a bit confusing at times. Was by myself one time and got lost and took extra 30-40 min! Guides were great, helpful and very friendly! Only thing was my girlfriend that I was there with was on an e-bike an...Read More
d we had to take separate rides. I get that ridecamp rides are not optimal for e-bikes but thought when we signed up the e-bike riders would be riding with the group. Read Less

Amazing Ride Camp
Review by Grady on 31 Oct 2022 review stating Amazing Ride Camp
My wife and I signed up for the 7-Day Ride Camp in late October. Despite the weather usually being a bit cooler we had almost every day in the mid 70's and sunny! Each morning was cool though, which made the heat of the day not only bearable, but enjoyable. The riding itself (the important part!) was so much fun. We had plenty of options from shor...Read More
ter days to longer ones. As avid cyclists who just jumped into some racing this past year this was the perfect match for our budget and desires for a trip. While we were looking for a no frills cycling vacation that could be a nice addition to our training, we ended up on this trip finding exactly that, but also with the frills! The guides are awesome, and the supported rides have three stops (morning snack, then lunch, then another snack after lunch) for the Avid route options, and everytime you roll up to it they have bike racks, snacks, drinks, and a beautiful location set up for us. It was amazing to not have to fill up our pockets with ride fuel or worry about running out of water. For an already incredible value trip the snack and lunch stops really were awesome. Also, despite not having the comfort of our own bikes, the Domane's are very comfortable rides and being able to leave your bike at the end of a long day and not worry about checking tire pressure, lubing the chain, cleaning it off, or any of the other number of items you would do at home or with your own bike, you drop it off in the very convienently located bike room across the street from the hotel and don't even think about it until you hop on it the next morning! Sending our measurements ahead of time ensured a close to perfect fit on the bike. Certainly more than good enough to mash the pedals for 80-90 mile days and feel great. Also, the road quality in Girona is the best I have ever seen. Almost completely void of potholes, cracks, or beat up surfaces of any kind the roads are just amazing. Even better are the drivers. For being on the roads for 4-7 hours just aobut every day we rarely encountered a driver that was not courteous, aware, and patient. On some of the climbs with narrow roads drivers would patiently wait a respectful distance behind us (not revving the engine to let us know they were there like you might find in the US or other areas) and then without gassing it they would pass us respectfully. No coal rolling in Girona! I cannot recommend this trip enough, especially for those looking for a fun and challenging vacation in what is truly a cycling paradise. It's almost like a real world Watopia for those Zwifters out there, we just didn't find any underwater tunnels to ride in, haha! Even if you're not looking for a training camp style vacation, the short and regular route options still see plenty of the sights and climbs without being monstrous days. For those looking for a training camp style vacation...you will not be dissapointed, especially with the self-guided routes you get to choose from a few of the days. Go back and try to beat your time on the infamous Rocacorba, complete Els Angels from both sides, or try a climb nobody else on the trip will get to! The options are endless and we will definitely be back. Lastly, Girona is a wonderful city to walk (or ride) around in. Endless cafes and restaurants to try, beautiful scenery and old buildings, walking tours, history, shopping, etc. It's not a big city, but that's why it's a perfect complement to a cycling vacation. Exceeded my expectations
Review by Jeff S. on 6 May 2022 review stating Exceeded my expectations
The riding in the mountains is as good as it gets. Great uphills. Great downhills. Beautiful vistas. Made new friends. Our guides were excellent. Plenty of food and drink. It's a full week. The avid routes are challenging but doable for avid riders.

What to say about Girona Gravel? I love Girona, I don't know if because it's my brithplace or because, at this moment, it's the paradise for cyclist. Their roads, their countryside, their mountains, their mediterranean coast, their roads, paths, its cathedral and old quarter. I don't know if you've ever ride a gravel bike, but defenitely Girona is...Read More
