Welcome to what’s often called “The Last Best Place.” We’ll meet at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake at 8:00 AM for a two-and-a-half-hour shuttle to Two Medicine Lake, where Glacier National Park’s jaw-dropping scenery awaits. You'll want to capture the towering peaks of Rising Wolf and Sinopah Mountains mirrored in the crystal-clear waters—so have your camera ready. You'll want to capture the towering peaks of Rising Wolf and Sinopah Mountains mirrored in the crystal-clear waters—so have your camera ready. After a hearty picnic prepared by your guides, you’ll receive a personal bike fitting for a smooth and comfortable ride. The first ride of our Glacier National Park tour is both breathtaking and challenging, taking you past Lower Two Medicine Lake, through the Blackfeet Indian Reservation, and over Looking Glass Hill before finishing at Saint Mary Lodge on the shores of yet another stunning glacial lake. Tonight, after unpacking and settling into your Great Bear Lodge room, we'll meet for a social hour joined by members of the Blackfeet Nation, who will share the history and legends of their tribe, which still resides on the ancestral lands you are now visiting. This morning we will start with a quick shuttle from Saint Mary to Many Glacier Lodge, a historic hotel whose Swiss-alpine architecture is inspired by the magnificent surrounding landscape. From here we'll board a historic wooden boat for a peaceful cruise across Swiftcurrent and Josephine Lakes, surrounded by majestic rocky peaks. From here we'll board a historic wooden boat for a peaceful cruise across Swiftcurrent and Josephine Lakes, surrounded by majestic rocky peaks. Upon docking, we'll hike to yet another of Glacier’s 762 lakes, Grinnell Lake, known for its characteristic turquoise color. After a simple trailside lunch, we'll hike back to Many Glacier Hotel, and you can choose to spend the afternoon riding or simply shuttle back to the hotel to relax. Today is a day you're sure to remember long after your Glacier National Park bike tour comes to a close. We're riding Going-to-the-Sun-Road, which is one of the most scenic roads in America. This engineering marvel was completed in 1932. It is narrow and windy, snaking around mountainsides to give you magnificent views from every angle. We will traverse Glacier National Park pedaling past waterfalls, glaciers, lakes, wildflowers, cedar forests, and hopefully some of... Today is a day you're sure to remember long after your Glacier National Park bike tour comes to a close. We're riding Going-to-the-Sun-Road, which is one of the most scenic roads in America. This engineering marvel was completed in 1932. It is narrow and windy, snaking around mountainsides to give you magnificent views from every angle. We will traverse Glacier National Park pedaling past waterfalls, glaciers, lakes, wildflowers, cedar forests, and hopefully some of the local wildlife abundant in this stunning refuge. You will surely want to stop at some of the many viewpoints along the way as we make our way to the top of Logan Pass (6,646 feet) and the Continental Divide. After a short break for photos and to add some layers, enjoy the epic descent down! Since there is only one road, we haven’t listed a short option for today, but rest assured, your guides can provide strategic shuttle options as needed. Once we reach Lake McDonald, we will regroup and shuttle to a cafe in West Glacier for a celebratory lunch. From here, we’ll shuttle to Whitefish, our home for the rest of the trip. You'll turn around when the road ends. As you pedal back toward Whitefish, you can decide whether you are up for the avid option, which is a steady five-mile climb up Big Mountain. Those who brave the climb will be rewarded with panoramic views of the peaks of Glacier Nat... The Hungry Horse Dam is one of the largest concrete dams in the United States and is named after two horses that survived after wandering away from camp during a brutal month in the winter of 1900. As we set out on our ride, you'll be captivated by the scenic route that winds alongside the reservoir, offering panoramic views of the surrounding ... Here, amidst the tranquil beauty of glacial waters and towering peaks, you'll have the opportunity to indulge in a refreshing swim or simply bask in the serenity of nature. After a nice lunch we’ll shuttle back to Whitefish, where you'll have time to unwind and savor the comforts of the Lodge. As the day draws to a close, join us for a farewell social hour and dinner, celebrating the memories made and the bonds forged amidst the awe-inspiring backdrop of Montana's natural wonders. It's time to say goodbye to Big Sky Country with a tranquil spin through the outskirts of Whitefish to the town of Columbia Falls and back. You’ll say farewell to your guides at 11:00 AM at the hotel and then continue your adventures, or if you must, take the free hotel shuttle to the airport. You may be leaving Montana, but memories of your Glacier National Park bike tour are sure to stay with you for a lifetime.
