Activity Level: Level 3, Level 4
Terrain: Hilly to Mountainous
The unpaved surfaces on our Dolomites and Asiago Gravel bike tour are rated as Advanced. About 60% of the riding is unpaved, primarily featuring a mix of gravel paths and forested dirt roads with loose rocks and chunky gravel. Gravel or mountain biking experience is required. This trip takes place in the Asiago Plateau (Italian Pre-Alps) and southern Dolomites, with relatively short distances due to the challenging terrain, including rolling hills, steep climbs, and technical descents. The support van will be stationed at strategic points, as it cannot always follow the route along mule tracks and forested roads.
This tour is best for Level 3 and Level 4 Riders with experience riding on gravel roads and are accustomed to chunky gravel sections, steep climbs and mountainous terrain. For those familiar with gravel riding and eager to experience every mile, yet mindful of their physical limits, our electric-assist bike option offers a comfortable and enjoyable solution. Our avid route options add extra mileage and elevation for those who want to challenge themselves further.
