Activity Level: Level 3
Terrain: Hilly
The rides are highlighted by stunning views, quiet roads, and hilly terrain. You’ll ride through consistently rolling terrain, with at least one sustained climb most days. Our Douro Valley Bike Tour is best suited for our Level 3 Riders. Day 3 and 5 are the most challenging, with more than 3,000 feet (over 900 meters) of climbing each day. Our Trek Travel guides can also easily accommodate Level 2 Riders, who seek less mileage or fewer uphills, with a boost in the van. For those eager to experience every mile but mindful of their physical limits, our electric bike option offers a comfortable and enjoyable solution. Level 4 Riders will enjoy the extra mileage the avid route options offer.
